What a Communications-PR associate does at HP:

The PR Communications Associate is part of the Northwest Europe Communications team and will report to the Head of Communications NWE. This market consists of three clusters: Benelux, Nordics, UK&I. You will work in a very international environment and your activities will include both Benelux activities as well as projects across the NWE-market. Travel will be part of your role.

Your work location is the HP office in Amstelveen.

Responsibilities:

• Develops and creates communication content and stories, including press releases, digital articles, videos, newsletters and social media assets, tailored to the country/market.

• Supports the development of strong relationships with media, analysts and influencers across a range of categories and ecosystems.

• Conducts market research to determine the ideal messaging strategies for audiences in different countries/markets.

• Collaborates with cross-functional partners to achieve country/market specific communications goals.

• Keeps themselves and the team up to date on industry news and competitor activities in all applicable countries/markets by monitoring news media and current events.

• Engages externally on behalf of the company (e.g. targeted media outreach, liaising with conference organizers, collaborating with partners), under the guidance of experienced team members.

Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:

• Bachelor’s or University degree in Communications

• +/- 2 years of experience, working for a communications agency or communications and PR (related) role at a company.

SUMMARY

The Media Relations Specialist SME (part-time) provides media relations and support services to CDC’s Division of Population Health (DPH), serving as public affairs contact, coordinating media responses, messaging, planning and clearances through DPH and selected internal partners. Provides clear, consistent, and frequent messaging regarding key initiatives, progress, and priorities externally. Responsible for writing, editing, and producing pitches and plans for a variety of external audiences.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. 

Formulates clear, compelling messages on complicated issues and create a concise and well-written narrative to express it.

Builds and maintains relationships with key media outlets/reporters to discuss scientific information and findings and manage stories and establish connection points for future story development.

Provides consultation, strategic planning, evaluation of media opportunities (including risk analysis) and recommendations for proactive and reactive media engagement.

Coordinates rollout activities for upcoming publications, releases, and events with numerous internal partners.

Develops, coordinates, and clears media rollout packages, press releases, media advisories and briefings, and other media content and products in coordination with internal partners and with adherence to internal clearance requirements and reporting/tracking systems.

Implements media rollout plans, including coordination with and outreach to internal and external partners.

Schedules and coordinates media requests, opportunities, and events, including expert interviews (by phone and live/on camera), media telebriefings, social media live streams, radio media tours, celebrity engagement, and other media engagement.

Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Privacy Counsel within the Amadeus Group Privacy Office (GPO), the Data Privacy Specialist will support the Distribution and Media business unit in the Amadeus Hospitality organization. Collaborating closely with mid and senior-level business and product teams, as well as other Legal business units, you will contribute to the implementation, update, and ongoing management of internal processes and controls aligning with the Amadeus data protection compliance framework.

• Serve as the Entry-point for Privacy by Design, overseeing Products, Lakes, Platforms, and Feeds, and revising Initial Privacy Assessments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate privacy considerations into the product development lifecycle.

The technical writer will work with the team to develop and define requirements by interfacing with the program/project manager, engineers. The technical writer will be familiar with product technologies, characteristics, production methods, and will
reviews manufacturer’s trade catalogs, drawings and other data relative to operation, maintenance, and service of equipment. The general responsibilities of the Technical Writer are as follows, to include but not limited to:

• Create Statements of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS), Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposals (RFP) and Request for Qualifications (RFQ) using customized organizational templates.
• Writes, edits, reviews & organizes all technical written materials including organization of key sections, tables, exhibits, and attachments, providing graphic/layout assistance to help ensure that a quality proposal is received.
• Proof, standardize and edit solicitation sections written by peers and other writers on the proposal team.
• Work closely with the Facilities and Logistics Services Support Team in coordination of deadlines and delivery schedules.
• Help create presentations and format and prepare documents for executive level presentations by peers.
• Create and update content for Brochures, Briefings, Technical papers, and corporate website.

What You Will Need:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET federal security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree
• FIVE (5) years of experience relevant to technical writing or technical documentation and/or proposal writing
• Experience collaborating with teams and adhering to deadlines
• Experience supporting clients customer facing

What Would Be Nice To Have:

• FOUR (4) or more years’ experience proposal writing for the federal government in the areas of design, engineering, and construction
• FIVE (5) or more years’ experience  writing and editing using MS Office
• Understanding of request for information (RFI)/request for proposal (RFP)/government acquisition contract (GWAC)/statement of work (SOW)/performance work statement (PWS) and other Federal government processes
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize staff requests, and set expectations
• Demonstrated experience delivering meticulous professional correspondences with attention to details
• Self-sufficient, resourceful, and the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Non-disclosure agreement will be required

You will work cross-functionally with product strategy teams, product development team, R&D, legal and partners and will drive our response to industry and regulatory changes.

You will be responsible to drive privacy governance across the Media Business Unit, implementing corporate privacy rules and ensure privacy awareness.             

You will define a vision for the team in line with the department strategy and operational challenges and translate it into a concrete action plan. You work with a high level of autonomy, with some guidance from Senior Manager. ​

You will act as a reference across multiple areas, anticipating solutions to complex problems, while optimizing efficiency based on knowledge and experience with policies, procedures and business plan.                                            

In this role you’ll:

• Maintain an understanding of industry changes in privacy and global regulations.
• Ensure our products are designed to comply with the relevant worldwide privacy laws and to maintain customer trust.
• Ensure goal alignment across different product and stakeholder teams, which may include customers, internal teams, external groups (including industry bodies and regulators) and partners.
• Drive innovative solutions to challenging advertising problems with a well-reasoned and privacy-obsessed vision.
• Contribute to product/business strategy, public policy, and legal initiatives to address/mitigate privacy risks.
• Partner with product development and engineering teams to ensure they understand the privacy requirements and that data collection / usage practices are transparent and protect user privacy.
• Conduct technical and policy reviews to identify and escalate potential privacy concerns.
• Propose proactive development of new privacy features and tools.
• Drive Initial Privacy Assessments (IPAs) on key initiatives and products, ensuring privacy by design processes are being followed and current controls and policies are implemented.
• Ensure that the Amadeus Corporate Privacy Strategy, Policies, Standards, Guidelines and Processes are communicated and applied within the Media Business Unit, including oversight of the Local Privacy Coordinators’ activities within legal entities.
• Drive Privacy governance within the organization, ensure privacy awareness, measure privacy maturity and its evolution within the organization.
• Act as an entry point for any audit activities (internal or external audit).
• Report to and participate in the Amadeus Privacy Committee.
• Respond to privacy incidents and emerging privacy risks, including collecting information on scope and root cause as well as managing remediation.
• Consult with the CPO and broader Privacy team for Legal and technical privacy advice.
• Ensure the list of processing activities / assets and vendors owners in their scope is up-to-date and launch periodic review process.

THE JOB:
