The Role:
As the Assistant Atrium & Event Manager, you will be responsible for devising and executing strategies to maximize the profitability of our atrium events. This role will require a proactive approach in engaging suppliers, curating brand partnerships, and collaborating closely with landlords to optimize the event space for both attendees and brands. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of turning events into revenue-generating opportunities
Responsibilities:
Event Profitability
- Develop, implement, and execute a comprehensive strategy to transform atrium events into profitable ventures, including budget management, revenue forecasting, and cost control measures.
Supplier Engagement
- Identify, negotiate with, and manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality services while optimizing costs.
Brand Growth
- Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to attract prominent brands to participate in atrium events, creating win-win partnerships that enhance their exposure and contribute to event revenue.
Tenant and Landlord Collaboration
- Work closely with landlords to align event objectives with property goals, ensuring seamless event execution while maintaining positive relationships with tenants and property management.
Event Planning and Execution
- Oversee the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of atrium events, ensuring exceptional attendee experiences, adherence to brand guidelines, and alignment with revenue targets.
Data Analysis
- Collect, analyse, and interpret event data and attendee feedback to identify opportunities for improvement, refine strategies, and make data-driven decisions.
Team Leadership
- Lead an operations team and support staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure all events comply with local regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies, maintaining a secure and pleasant environment for all attendees and participants.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of successfully managing and growing event revenue – P&L
- Planning to execution of events, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets
- Tenant/Landlord and Suppliers engagement experience
- Experience in permit application
- Business Acumen: Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and revenue generation skills. Ability to negotiate favourable terms with suppliers and partners.
- Event Management: Proven experience in planning, organizing, and executing large-scale events. In-depth understanding of the events industry, including trends, best practices, and regulations.
- Relationship Building: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with suppliers, brands, landlords, and tenants.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement effective event strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis tools to measure event performance and make data-driven decisions.
- Leadership: Experience in managing and developing a team.
