Applications are invited for the post of (10PA) Locum Consultant in General Medicine at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the care of General Medicine inpatients, oversee the care of a ward of medically fit patients and assist with the medical post take. They will be on the out of hour’s medical consultant rota. They may also contribute to the care of patients on the newly opened general medical ward as well as contribute to teaching and training in a leading hospital.

You will be fully registered with the GMC and ideally have a in General Medicine or a CCT in Acute Medicine or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview. Applications are welcomed from those unable to work full time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Our client, a housing association, is looking for an experienced Carpenter to carry out domestic maintenance works on their properties, which involves assisting in the reactive repairs and void operations.

The successful individual will ideally hold a minimum level 2 NVQ or be time-served in carpentry whilst also being experienced in completing various other day-to-day repair and maintenance tasks. You must have relevant experience in responsive maintenance and voids works and will be required to undertake a variety of allocated works across your designated area.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Management of day-to-day jobs allocated by a central team.
• Updating PDA devices with key information and work schedules.
• Ensuring all assigned tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient standard.
• Promoting the client’s corporate image and excellent service standard on every resident visit.
• Making decisions upon specialist experience and knowledge.
• Ensuring compliance at all times with necessary regulations, standards, and legal responsibilities of repair work and contractor compliance.
• Managing van stock effectively.
• Taking part in out of hours on call system as required by the service.

Knowledge and Experience

My client is a leading provider of M&E building services engineering and facilities management, providing a high specification client base with tailored and bespoke technical engineering solutions.

A Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer is required to carry out PPM, servicing, fault finding and reactive/breakdown repairs to air conditioning systems & equipment to include VRV, VRF, Splits, Cooling systems and AHU & FCU within a number of commercial/corporate buildings & industrial facilities located throughout Northampton and Cambridgeshire. Candidate will have to travel to slough and Kent once a month.

In addition to the air conditioning aspect of the position the successful candidate will also carry out general building services tasks to include fabric maintenance and basic plumbing as is required.
