Job Title: Management Accountant

Location: Remote (1-2/Month in Leeds)

Salary: £40,000 - 42,000

They are one of the largest property businesses in the U.K and hold several prestigious clients in their portfolio. The ideal candidate will be involved with management of P&L reports, sales and purchase invoices, report production, and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Completion and maintenance of Regional/National P&L accounts and forecasts.
• Management and issuance of sales invoices.
• Production and reconciliation of quarterly FM/System Fees, including Ad Hoc fees.
• Monthly salary and expense recharges reconciliation.
• Updating and maintaining fee charge schedules.
• Day-to-day management of an Assistant Accountant.
• Debtor data analysis and weekly report production.
• Monthly financial KPIs production.
• Overseeing coding and processing of supplier invoices.
• Assisting in the production of instruction/client profitability reports.
• Supporting accurate budget production.
• Assisting in year-end financial audits.
• Producing Ad Hoc reports as required.
• Maintaining professional standards and attention to detail in all tasks.

Qualifications and Skills:

• IT literate with strong Excel skills (including pivot/lookup tables).
• AAT/CIMA qualified (or working towards) preferred but not essential.

About the role

As the Injury Management Consultant you will play a vital role in the success of the Regional WorkFocus team by managing some of our largest customers. Drawing upon your extensive experience and strong profile within the industry, you will deliver services and implement Service Agreements with key customers requiring a specific focus as per business unit needs.   

As a valued team member, your responsibilities will include:

• Maintain quality across customer as per SLA requirements in regard to rates, costs and durations

• Serves as the Garrison's Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC), Agency Program Coordinator (APC) with the responsibilities to effectively monitor and maintain the government travel card program in accordance with Army Regulations.

• Conducts financial analyses and advises on financial issues affecting programs.
• Evaluates and controls operations at various levels of management and services.
• Gathers statistical and accounting data for preparation of annual cost reports.
• Develops recommendations for program adjustments and changes in executive policy.
• Supervises staff of the Finance, Accounting and Budget Section.

Management Accounts

• Ownership and Accurate Preparation of Full Management Accounts for all companies within remit.
• Full Balance Sheet reconciliation owning all balances
• Establish and ensure integrity of consistent key accounting policies for the group
• Record, maintain and audit consistent processes and procedures within the finance team for all companies.
• Internal audit of accounting policies, processes and procedures
• Preparation of regular forecasting for all companies within remit
• Produce Annual Budget for all companies within remit
• Detailed variance analysis on Management Accounts
• Maintain detailed P&L Analysis
• Regular management reporting for various Group + Non-Group Companies
• Establish and lead regular Management Accounts meetings with key stakeholders
• Establish and report key KPIs
• Journal entries, accruals, prepayments, recharges and intercompany transactions
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register and depreciation calculations
• Monthly cost and variance monitoring
• Lead on the annual audit for all companies within remit.

Group Treasury

• Produce and own robust and accurate cash flows for companies.
• Consolidate Group and non-Group cash flows ensuring good test and challenge to the numbers.
• Ensure all group cash is making the best interest as possible.
• Establish a Group Treasury Policy with FD/HOF.

What you'll need to succeed

Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA or QBE with at least 5 years post qualified experience if qualifiedAccountancy experience in a commercial profit-making entrepreneurial business
