Position Description:
The Field Services Technician I is responsible for the clean-up and transportation of Hazardous and Non-Hazardous waste. The Field Services Technicians will be expected to perform confined space entry, work hands-on, and operate a variety of equipment which may include but is not limited to pressure indicators, pressure washers, hand trucks, forklifts, and power tools.
Responsibilities:
· Handle, package, and transport Hazardous and Non-Hazardous materials.
· Utilize pressure washer, hydro blast equipment, forklift, skid loader, and specialty vacuum equipment.
· Complete critical path documentation, including manifests, driver logs, job summaries, and permits.
· Communicate with the Project Manager and on-site customers.
· Perform work in confined space entries and utilize mechanics, industrial hygiene instrumentation, pneumatic tools, electrical tools, and hand tools.
· Adhere to requirements of Company policies and procedures, OSHA, and all local, state, and federal laws.
Requirements:
· High School Diploma / GED required.
· Must be 21 years or older, due to interstate travel in a commercial vehicle and federal regulations.
· Minimum of 1 year experience preferred.
· Valid state driver’s license required.
· Possess 40 HR HAZWOP certification.
· Strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
· Effectively work in a team setting.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to pass a respirator fit test.
· Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including occasional overnight travel.
· Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to use sound judgment and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
