Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provides emergency communications services
• Handles a wide variety of calls-local, routine, long distance and international and assists in the placing of them
• Compiles and prepares reports relating to events occurring in the operation of the Police Operations Room for coordination of emergency situations
• Provides patient information, using the computer for location and condition of patients
• Updates patient locator from the daily "Gaines and Loss" sheet
• Conducts hourly radio station identification code checks and radio checks every 30 minutes with uniformed police officers
• Takes emergency and non-emergency police complaints over the phone and dispatches police units to the appropriate locations
• Insures radio and tape machines are in working order and tapes are changed, stored and safeguarded according to policy
• Testifies in criminal court as a witness in cases where they observed the criminal activity
• Performs other duties as assigned

As a Biological Science Technician your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assists in planning wildlife censuses and surveys such as establishing schedules and procedures to accomplish surveys. Independently carries out wildlife studies by following research methods and established procedures for accomplishing
  and reporting the work. Monitors and implement activities related to conservation, management, and/or control of wildlife. Monitors and assists in control of wildlife, plant disease outbreaks, pest plant control, mowing/seeding activities and vegetation removal. Captures, applies visual and radio tags, and gathers physiological and spatial data on wildlife.
• Assists in planning plants surveys and recommends plant management practices.
  Assists in planning habitat management activities designed to monitor, control, and eradicate non-native or invasive plant species and/or limit plant disease outbreaks. Independently carries out plant studies by following research methods and
  established procedures for accomplishing and reporting the work.
• Collects, assesses, and organizes biological and physical environment data from field investigations and reports findings to determine actual and potential impact on fish, wildlife or plant resources from development projects, restoration projects or habitat improvement projects.
• Provides basic information on fish and wildlife resources and the United States Fish and Wildlife Service to groups and individuals.
• Operates farm tractors, light trucks, vehicles, small watercraft and various other equipment such as generators, radios, radio tracking equipment, water monitoring equipment, global positioning systems and cameras. Provides work direction and guidance to biological technicians and volunteers and YCC enrollees, including safe handling of tools and operation of motorized vehicles and watercraft.

As a Biological Science Technician your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• The incumbent participates in multifaceted wildlife studies, including carrying out a variety of research and survey methods, analyzing established data, and monitoring environmental elements related to conservation, management, and/or control of wildlife. Assists with performing biological studies for determining the manner and extent to which wildlife populations are affected by management activities. Uses field equipment including cameras, GPS equipment, binoculars, rangefinders and computers in order to capture wildlife survey data or for other records. Independently identifies and collects data for studies.
• Surveys and observes avian populations, looking for abundance, behavior, habitat, sex and age structure, and seasonal movements. Identifies birds by sight and sound. Collects avian morphometric data and biological samples by capturing, measuring, bleeding, and marking birds. Uses field equipment including cameras, GPS equipment, binoculars, rangefinders and computers in order to capture avian survey data or for other records.
• The incumbent participates in multifaceted plant studies, including carrying out a variety of research and survey methods, analyzing established data, and monitoring environmental elements such as temperature, humidity, etc., and how it impacts plant health. Uses field equipment including cameras, GPS equipment, binoculars, rangefinders and computers in order to capture survey data or for other records. Conducts and/or monitors grazing activities, water control structures, and/or management monitoring studies. Identifies native and exotic flora and fauna.
• Survey's location for invasive species populations. Works with the biologists to outline a plan to minimize or remove invasive species. Uses field equipment including cameras, GPS equipment, binoculars, rangefinders and computers in order to capture survey data or for other records. Assists with invasive species removal projects, recording and submitting accomplishment data on the process of technical assistance and habitat restoration activities.
• The incumbent uses a variety of databases and reporting systems to store, compile, and analyze data from monitoring and studies.
• Loads and unloads materials and equipment, cleans grounds, collects and disposes of refuse and performs a variety of light maintenance and housekeeping tasks involving the use of hand and power tools and equipment. Assists with outdoor projects such as trail maintenance.

• Complete request forms, manually or automated, for individual patient orders, blood work and other requests.
• Maintain and monitor patient appointment schedules for the clinic/practice.
• Receive patients and visitors as the initial point of contact, in person or telephonically.
• Record and relay messages and/or redirect calls.
• Maintain all patients' records, both electronic and paper, according to regulation ensuring each entry contains proper patient and health care provider identification.
• Oversee the clerical duties inherent to the in processing (reception), care and out processing (transition) of outpatients, families/caregivers and guests.
• Respond to emergency calls and notifies emergency medical personnel.

• Conduct prime source verification on the following credentials as relevant to the HCP or the clinical support staff member: licensure, certification, educational degrees to include medical residency training and fellowships and prior employments.
• Screen individual healthcare provider files in accordance with Department of Defense regulations and directives.
• Verify that all designated Healthcare Providers as receive and maintain a valid, current license in accordance with governing regulations.
• Develop agenda and minutes for the Credential Committee.
• Process notification of privileges according to the recommendations of the Credentials Committee to the Medical
• Staff Executive Committee and approval/disapproval by the Commander IAW AR 40-68.
• Interpret regulations, directives and policies relevant to the privileging and reappointment process, format and content of Practitioner Credentials and Provider Activity files.
