• Performs the basic technical processes entailed in dispensing prescriptions including review of patient chart to determine appropriate the number of medications, quantities to be dispensed and dosages are within acceptable ranges based on patient age and weight.
• Verifies identity of patient, reviews all medications with patient using the IHS consultation method.
• Entry of data accurately into the computer for proper prescription labels, medication data for billing functions and medication profiles.
• Receives and fills ward and clinics supply orders for a wide variety of items stocked in the pharmacy
• Performs routine tours of patient care areas to pick up orders for pharmacy and to ascertain replenishment needs of nursing units or outpatient clinics
• Performs the many functions required to maintain the pharmacy inventory in proper amounts and under proper storage conditions on the wards and in the pharmacy.

• Perform a wide range of complex physical therapy duties requiring an advanced practical knowledge of physical therapy, evidence-based medicine and data collection.
• Responsibilities include providing evaluation and therapeutic interventions to a full range of wounded, ill, and injured service members.
• Responsibilities include physical rehabilitation, musculoskeletal extremity injury, spine complications and/or injuries, neurological injuries/impairments, pain, and concomitant behavioral health disorders.
• Develop complex, goal-oriented treatment plans for patients presenting with a multiplicity of dysfunction and impairments in physical, functional.
• Plan goal-oriented group and/or focused individual PT treatment programs, selecting activities to increase or improve muscle strength, range of motion and coordination.
• Teach alternative or compensatory techniques for rehabilitation, reconditioning, and functional tasks regardless of physical, mental, and/or cognitive deficits.
• Develop protocols and standard operating procedures (SOP) for PT programs. Serves as PT subject matter expert for designated program.
• Contribute input for program development and U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) guidance as needed to ensure program consistency and practice standardization across Army medicine.
• Serve as a member of various integrated, interdisciplinary/planning teams that plan, direct, coordinate, and evaluate individual care plans for and progress of patients participating in the program.
• Recommend patients for return to duty when appropriate and when rehabilitation is complete.
• Provide recommendations for continued treatment, home programs, reconditioning and provides guidance on physical health, functional and adaptive activities.
• Master new techniques and modality proficiency by studying current literature.
• As section administrator, incumbent may be responsible for the administrative management of the section including decisions concerning the delivery of care, contributing input to budgeting and staffing priorities.

• Organize and direct the Occupational Medicine and Preventive Med program.
• Supervise and evaluate Occupational Medicine personnel in the clinic at the medical treatment facility.
• Inspect facilities and conducts periodic audit of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) programs for compliance with regulations.
• Provide medical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment according to standardized medical protocols for occupational and non-occupational illnesses.
• Prescribe pharmaceuticals in compliance with DHA privileges for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.

• Plan, direct, supervise and coordinate the functions, work operations and day-to-day activities of the OB/GYN Outpatient Clinic.
• Establish workflow and functional assignments; determine and distribute work assignments to meet workload demands, set priorities and prepare schedules for completion of work.

• Initiate formal actions to fill vacancies, interview candidates for vacant positions, make selections for appointment, promotion or reassignment actions, establish performance standards and prepare performance appraisals.
• As the Clinical Nurse In Charge (CNOIC), perform and execute supervisory duties of all allocated Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Nurse Assist clinical staff.
