The primary purpose of this position is: An Enlisted Air Reserve Technician (ART), to assist the medical records administration specialist with responsibility for the daily operations of the Medical Records, Quality Assurance, and Risk Management programs. Oversees all activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance of, and adherence to the organization's policies and procedures covering Service Treatment Records (STR) administration. Provides direct support to the Medical Records Administration ART and Senior ART by accomplishing a variety of duties relating to medical administration, military functions, and analysis to assist with the operational requirements of the Squadron and Wing Force Health programs. Works directly with AFRC STR Processing Center, sub-set of Air Force Medical Readiness Agency (AFMRA). Provides training to reserve members in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein.

Duties:
1. Provides direct support to the Medical Records Administrator and Senior ART in planning, directing, implementing, and controlling all elements of the day-to-day STR operation.
2. Ensures quality and security of the STR program.
3. Provides advisory and consultant services on service treatment records to Reserve Medical Unit staff.
4. Educates Reserve Medical Unit personnel and others on service treatment records requirements.
5. Manages Health Service Benefits and Entitlements.

• Obtain information from patients and/or family to identify major complaints, symptoms, or reason for seeking health care.
• Take vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, pain level, height, weight, measurement of head circumference and length) as part of patient's medical assessment and perform a behavioral health screening of assigned patient.
• Provide individualized nursing care to patients based upon the physician's medical plan, the nursing assessment and the physical, mental and emotional needs of the patient.
• Screen and review immunization records to select required immunizations, correct dosages, and administer oral, intradermal, subcutaneous, intramuscular immunizations to all age groups.
• Assist physician with various examinations and diagnostic procedures.
• Perform teaching to patients and/or family regarding self-care procedures and documents teaching.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Executes 628th CES/CENME GIS programs.
• Provides geospatial support to a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
• Evaluates, develops, and provides recommendations for implementation of database standards and policies that have significant impacts on capabilities of the GIS and Global Positioning System (GPS) data collection systems.
• Develops installation CAD/GIS-related management and design programs, applications software guidance, standards and instructions.

• Responsible for the receipt, identification, preparation, distribution, and storage of all types of monitoring, surveillance, special agent and compliance investigative samples.
• Ensures the proper handling and storage of incoming/reserve samples and assures that the legal integrity of those samples.
• Assures the correct target tissues are distributed to the appropriate laboratory sections, and maintains control of samples designated for multiple disciplines.
• Maintains sufficient inventory and distributes all shipping supplies, sampling kits for FSIS sampling programs and special programs, upon request.
• Ensures all work adheres and meets the requirements under International Organization for Standardization 17025 (ISO 17025).
• Prepares sample boxes for return to inspectors. Cleans or recovers overwraps, restocks appropriate supplies, and affixes project-specific labels to boxes.
• Receives/delivers all laboratory supplies, equipment, furniture and chemicals purchased by the laboratory.
• Processes related documentation, inputs items in laboratory inventory database, and obtains certificates of analysis.
• Maintains contract carrier’s (e.g., Federal Express, UPS) shipping database.
• Provides input to the Supply and Sample Handling Specialist before the start of new projects to ensure timely and proper shipment of sampling supplies.
• Enters information relative to the receipt and shipment of supplies and reagents, into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Forklift certification, knowledge of warehouse safety rules, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and regulations governing hazardous waste.
• Determines which samples involve chain of custody requirements for legal samples to be used as evidence and maintains required documentation.
• Knowledge of directives, memos, work instructions, rules, and regulations to monitor safety, health, and the environment of surrounding areas.

1. Accomplish initial planning functions to include facilities and equipment planning.

4. Develop/revise standards for Equipment to track and maintain life cycle usefulness.
5. On new and proposed weapon system repair assignment, establish and identifies the common, Air Ground Equipment (AGE) and maintenance Ground Equipment (MGE) requirements.
6. Provide technical guidance and coordination on unusual technical problems (for equipment) encountered during the production cycle.
7. Value Engineering Techniques will be used to: Examine high volume/high value components for design changes, depot repair procedures, substitution of equipment, etc.; to investigate processes and repair procedures for improvement; to design adequate tooling for depot operations not covered by technical data and provides adequate fixtures and equipment for direct production support.
8. Support the Production Supervisors in production meetings and assist in identifying significant issues.
9. Comply with and assist in implementing Command standard business practices, policies & procedures.

Serves as a Medication Technician in a Federal Bureau of Prisons Institution.

Responsible for the administration and distribution of medication to inmates in various locations, including the Health Services Unit, Special Housing Units, or other designated areas within the institution.

Administers medications to include but not limited to Oral, Topical, Nebulized, Meter Dose Inhaler, and Insulin, in a manner consistent with nationally recognized safe medical practices, to include accurate identification of the patient, medication, dosage, time, and route.

Reports and records adverse medication reactions.

Assists Pharmacist or other appropriate staff member in a variety of pharmacy related activities, including, but not limited to, entry of physician orders into a computerized pharmacy information system, preparation of medications for Pharmacist review, preparation of medication administration records, storage and inventory of pharmacy supplies, etc.
