As a AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR, WS-8801-14, duties include:

(1) Planning: Plans the overall allocation of personnel, funding and equipment resources to the organizational segments supervised to accomplish work operations which, because of their scope, volume, complexity, operational tempo, and total force integration must be planned on an annual or longer basis. Because of the Total Force Mission integration with the USAF, keeps unit assigned Air National Guard mission aircraft in combat ready status and able to be fully integrated with USAF aircraft and missions upon activation and regular contingency operations, in addition to daily training and support missions. Plans work on an annual or multiyear basis, to include: aircraft and aircraft system modifications (Time Change Technical Orders),maintenance equipment and facilities update and modernization, deployment and mobility planning, human resources and financial forecasting, recurring Air Force mandated inspection requirements, mission and weapons systems changes, contingency planning relating to carrying out the military mission of the wing, and the development of policies and procedures in the accomplishment of the work. Significant but shorter requirements involve daily, weekly, and quarterly planning. Analyzes work plans developed by subordinate supervisors for accomplishment of assigned directives. Determines status of work accomplished in relation to future demands, including unanticipated or emergency requirements mandating reallocation of resources as required. Provides higher level management and/or leadership information on status of work projects, budget estimates, changes in equipment, facilities, techniques etc. for mission planning purposes. Evaluates potential impact of improved technologies on existing programs and practices and recommends proposed changes to cognizant authority. Participates fully with higher level management and staff organizations in interpreting changing environmental requirements to include work techniques, specification changes, standard improvements, modifications to organizational structures, mission alignments and changes, equipment modernization, facility requirements and improved workflow processes. Functions as an integral member of unit's planning process, serving as the responsible technical resource for a maintenance division. Has national level impact, attending future systems road map planning conferences such as Product Improvement Working Group (PIWG), System Supportability Review (SSR) and Systems Safety Group (SSG) meetings as an Air National Guard subject matter expert.

(2) Work Direction: Explains work requirements to subordinate levels of supervision, sets deadlines and sequence of operations. Coordinates and directs the work of units supervised. Balances work load for subordinate work groups. Analyzes production, cost and personnel utilization records and makes adjustment in operations to correct problems. Develops quality and quantity standards. Spot checks work operations to assure production and quality standards are met. Encourages employees to achieve goals.

(3) Administration: Recommends promotion or reassignment of subordinate supervisors and reviews personnel actions prepared by them. Makes formal appraisal of supervisors' work performance and reviews employee appraisals submitted by them. Determines long-range training needs for all levels of subordinates, submits funding and budget requests with justification for approval, and arranges for the accomplishment of the training. Promotes and administers such programs as cost reduction, incentive awards, suggestions, and quality assurance. Ensures that regulations governing safety and housekeeping are observed with appropriate protective clothing and equipment being utilized. Assures that subordinate supervisors carry out such programs as labor-management and equal opportunity. Schedules and approves leave. Ensures that position descriptions are accurate and that position management principles are followed. Develops and establishes the internal procedures to be followed by subordinate supervisors to assure effective control and direction of the work activities, organizations, and personnel supervised. Assures that appropriate
production reports and administrative records are maintained. Acts on personnel problems referred by subordinate supervisors. Hears and resolves grievances and ensures proper corrective action is taken.

(4) Implements regulatory safety requirements and ensures that subordinates wear appropriate safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions.

Working shift patterns of 6am - 2pm the first week, then 2pm - 10pm the second week & this pattern will continue week about.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Working alongside T1 Semi Skilled Operatives, you will be undertaking the following overhaul & repair tasks of the allocated wheelsets & bogies whilst adhering to the requisite processes & procedures:
* Carry out the initial inspection of wheelsets
* Axle bearing removal taking care to ensure no damage to the axle or components occurs and prepare the bearings for dispatch to the relevant external companies
* Paint removal on the axle
* Wheel pan removal taking the relevant precautions to ensure no damage to components is caused
* Painting activities (both repairs and spray painting)
* Surface defect removal
* Oil drain and fill on wheelset gearbox and couplings and any associated parts
* Initial Bogie inspection reporting any findings through the relevant maintenance portal and supervisor
* Wheelset removal taking care not to damage the frame or wheelsets
* Frame disassembly and component removal
* Carry out Component repair following
* Assist with cleaning of rolling stock when required

Knowledge and experience

• Must have relevant experience in Mechanical engineering environment
• Mechanical qualifications (such as NVQ 3)

Job Description

Working hours are Tuesday - Saturday, 6am - 12 noon.

As a Sample Registration Technician, you will complete the registration of water samples for a given method. You will also assist in the efficient day-to-day operation of the laboratory.

Please note, no previous experience within laboratory is required, full training is provided. We are keen to receive applications from candidates who are willing to learn new skills and used to working within a fast paced environment.

Duties include:

Sorts through all sample deliveries and arranges samples in time order.
Match sample paperwork to the relevant samples.
Register samples into our IT system meeting the testing requirements provided by the customer.
Communicate with internal teams or external customers to clarify testing details or specifications.
Troubleshoot any issues related to sample registration.
Ensure accurate labelling, storage and disposal of samples takes place.
Ensure that sample registration is completed in a timely manner.
Work in line with our quality procedures to maintain accreditation.
Collaborate with other team members and show flexibility to help meet demand.
Work with the team to ensure that all waste generated is removed from the lab via the correct waste streams.
Undertake any other reasonable task or responsibility requested by a senior manager.

Mobile Vehicle Technician Role:

• Working closely with the breakdown team you will be tasked with attending breakdowns to diagnose issues they have. Working on the vehicles to ideally get them back on the road otherwise making sure the vehicle goes back to the workshop.
• Identifying problems and advising the customer on the vehicle's issues.
• Vehicle servicing & general maintenance including electrical & vehicle Diagnostics.
• Exceptional customer service.

Mobile Vehicle Technician Requirements:

• Must have a minimum level 2 Vehicle maintenance and Repair, ideally looking for level 3 Vehicle maintenance and Repair.

APPRENTICE ICT TECHNICIAN

Salary : National Apprentice Rate: £12,347.46 per annum in the first year

Hours: 37 Hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Monday to Thursday 8.00 am to 4.00 pm, Friday 8.00 am to 3.30 pm

Contract Basis: 13 - 15 months Apprenticeship Agreement

We are seeking to appoint an Apprentice ICT Technician. The successful candidate will be supported to undertake and complete a Level 3 ICT qualification in partnership with Apprentify.

You will support the ICT Support Technicians who manage over 1800 devices and 80 virtual servers work across two campuses. Typical duties will include call logging; problem solving; installation, configuration, repairing and upgrading ICT equipment (hardware and software); periodic printer maintenance; basic network implementation; setting up ICT bookings; auditing; updating support manuals and creating user guides. Existing knowledge of hardware and software maintenance would be advantageous.

Knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office, in particular MS Word, Excel, Outlook is essential.

What skills and experience we're looking for

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic ICT Support Technician to help maintain and support the ICT Services across both our Sleaford and Ruskington campuses.

Typical duties will include logging calls, problem solving, installation, configuration, repairing and upgrading IT equipment (hardware & software); network implementation; auditing; keeping documentation up to date and creating user guides.

The ICT Services Team support over 2300 students and 350 members of staff, using 1800 workstations & laptops. Knowledge of Microsoft and Apple products is preferred, although in-house training will be provided. Prior knowledge of IP systems including WiFi, CCTV, and telephony would also be an added bonus.

This global leader in their market are recruiting for a temporary to permanent PDI Technician to join their friendly team in Grantham, Lincolnshire.

The purpose of the role is to perform mechanical, electrical and aesthetic inspections of machines before being shipped to customers.

You will be:
• Responsible for the daily PDI of machines given to you via tablets or paper based check list,
• Carry out a robust PDI-inspection on all machines from start to finish prior to being despatched.
• You will be fault finding for mechanical and electrical problems,
• Cleaning of paintwork form drill holes, manual use of hand tools

For this role you will need demonstrate:
• Excellent attention to detail and uphold the excellent standards of the company the customer has come to expect.
• Inspection of mechanical components / paintwork
