About the Role:
As a CBRE Maintenance Sr. Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining medium to large-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
What You’ll Do:
· Technical Expertise: Apply a strong working knowledge of Building General M&E systems, ACMV systems, and Process Utility Systems to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and timely maintenance activities.
· Shift Operations Leadership: Lead and oversee shift operations, providing guidance, supervision, and support to a team of technicians, ensuring their tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
· System Oversight: Supervise the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems, working to ensure minimal downtime and adherence to industry standards and regulations.
· Preventive Maintenance: Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment lifespan, improve system reliability, and enhance operational efficiency.
· Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to any emergency situations, coordinating with your team to implement corrective actions, contain disruptions, and restore normal operations.
· Compliance & Safety: Ensure all shift activities comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, governmental directives, and company policies. Uphold a strong focus on safety within the team and the facility.
· Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough records of all maintenance activities, equipment inspections, safety checks, and compliance documentation as required by internal policies and external regulations.
· Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments, vendors, and clients to coordinate maintenance activities, minimize interruptions, and ensure the systems meet customer requirements.
· Work Inspection & Quality Control: Oversee the work performed by your team and any external subcontractors, inspecting completed tasks to confirm functionality and compliance with client and regulatory expectations.
· Training & Development: Provide on-the-job technical training and procedural guidance to technicians, fostering an environment of continuous learning and team development.
· Client Interaction: Act as a point of contact for clients during your shift, addressing their technical concerns, proposing solutions, and scheduling necessary maintenance activities to minimize disruptions.
· Leadership & Teamwork: Lead by example, adhering to the company's core values (CBRE RISE), promoting collaboration, safety, and operational excellence within the shift team.
What You’ll Need:
· Higher NITEC or NTC 2 with minimum 8 years of experience in facility maintenance or a related technical field, with demonstrated expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and ACMV systems. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
· In-depth knowledge of building systems, including electrical systems and air conditioning, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair activities.
· Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to respond effectively to complex technical issues and emergencies.
· Self-motivated and independent, with the ability to supervise and develop staff, and take initiative in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
· Excellent communication skills, capable of exchanging clear, straightforward technical information with team members, clients, and management.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and reporting.
· Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset, ensuring effective prioritization and task management
