Senior Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Maintenance Engineer to join a dynamic team for a growing and innovative manufacturing company in Hoo. You will be responsible for the following:

• Reactive and planned maintenance
• Tracking and organising all PPM
• Keep the MaintainX system up to date
• Organise contractors and services for machine maintenance and track documentation
• Controlling spare parts
• Performing routine safety inspections
• Assisting in improvement projects
• Leading a small team of Maintenance Engineers

The successful candidate must have completed an Electrical Engineering or similar Apprenticeship with relevant experience and be 17th or 18th edition qualified. Experience of working in a manufacturing environment is essential. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and team skills, experience with Mitsubishi PLCs and HMIs, and strong analytical, fault-finding, and problem-solving abilities. A good knowledge of electric motors and pneumatics, along with basic mechanical skills, is required. You will should have experience working within a multi-skilled team and in a Safety-First culture. The ability to work independently and make necessary judgements is essential. It would be advantageous to be experienced with Fanuc Robotics Programming, Fanuc CNC Programming, ABB Robotics Programming, Siemens PLCs and HMIs along with working on manual mills and lathes.

• The working hours are: Monday - Thursday: 7:30 - 4, Friday: 7:30 - 12:30 and you will be part of an out of hours call out

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Skilled and experienced troubleshooter with ability to determine root cause of complex and problematic issues very quickly and with high resolution certainty.
  • Assess, evaluate and recommend technical solutions for computer hardware, software, network connectivity and basic telecom issues for short term and long term resolutions.
  • Follow and communicate established policies and procedures; create documentation or notify manager if documentation is outdated, incorrect or needs improvement.

  • Proficient at maintaining Avaya equipment hardware such as removing/replacing phone components, headset issues and verification of network wiring.

  • Perform local phone services by resolving issues regarding local phone services including vendor provided T1 and analog service interruptions and vendor management.
  • Configure and support Vocera and wireless phone systems without supervision.
  • Perform moves, adds and changes at system-wide locations including installation of analog, digital and IP phones and headsets.
• Network troubleshooting and support
  • Install preconfigured network gear such as switches, firewalls and terminal servers, asset tagging of UPS and ATS equipment.
  • Provide on-site after-hour power outage coverage.
  • Replace and/or install failed network equipment.
  • Perform low level access function to switches and term servers.
  • Conduct cross connections and switch documentation in data closets.
  • Maintain data closet best practices, troubleshoot or escalate issues within IT department.
• Project management and customer service
  • Organize, plan staffing and train employees on medium to large project teams.
  • Primary point of contact for regional Business Analyst IT/Coordinator for providing technical resources for projects and ensuring technical staff timely complete required work.
  • Coordinate complex implementation activities working with the regional Business Analyst IT/Coordinator, customers and other IT groups to produce desired business solutions while following standard project management methodologies.
  • Participate in and lead as needed, project meetings, assist in virtual walk-throughs and communicate with regional team members and other IT groups.
  • Communicate technical updates, issues, open issues, etc. to key stakeholders.
  • Maintain ServiceNow ticket service level agreement (SLA) and document customer communications and work completed within SN tickets.
• Process and documentation
  • Proactively identify opportunities for incident resolution, service improvements and internal efficiencies following ITIL best practices.
  • Document processes and procedures for common Services Requests and Incidents, thereby enabling less experienced personnel to become familiar with proven methods of resolution.
  • Participate and lead when needed task groups to define, develop, document, communicate and implement technical process improvements and initiatives.
  • Create, distribute and train on clear and concise technical process documentation for team members, end-users and support groups.

Assist process chemist in performing R&D test work. POSITION SUMMARY
This position performs prescribed non-invasive cardiovascular procedures and stress testing to patients. This position analyzes data during the recording, making certain that the information being obtained is valid and interpretable. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population.

CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Performs prescribed standard non-invasive cardiovascular procedures in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.

2. Analyzes, identifies and documents procedures as outlined by departmental policies and procedures to maximize patient outcome.

3. Ensures an accurate and readable recording using deductive reasoning to trouble shoot minor problems, make adjustments as needed during the procedure and prepares recordings for interpretation.

4. Collects and/or reviews pertinent medical, historical, and medication information in order to perform the appropriate study prescribed by the physician as outlined by departmental policies and procedures.

5. Assists with activities to improve department processes, facilitate testing and maintain quality to achieve optimal patient results.

6. Works directly with physicians and serves as the technical expert on our various Non-Invasive testing applications. Responsibilities include but not limited to: initial training on the clinical application for reading and interpreting EKG, continued training for periodic clinical up-grades, and assists with computerized charting and order entry.

7. May assists in scheduling of patients and maintains equipment as outlined by department policies and procedures. Responsible for the departmental daily charges and may assist in the charge recovery process.

8. Participates in the education and training of new employees, peers, students and other staff. Must obtain certification as a Cardiographic Technician from a recognized credentialing agency within 18 months of hire or have a bachelor's degree in a related clinical field. Must complete required courses in EKG and 12 Lead.

9. Independently performs prescribed non-invasive cardiovascular procedures to patients. Internal customers: All levels of nursing management and staff, medical staff, and all other members of the interdisciplinary health care team. External Customers: regulatory and health agencies, patients and family members.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge

Certification for BLS required.

This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with one year of experience performing non–invasive cardiology procedures. Completion of courses in EKG and 12 Lead. Must demonstrate effective communication skills, human relations skills, basic mathematical skills, analyze data and solve basic problems.
