Roles and Responsibilities

• Record And Report/update all Dam Levels, Water Readings to Hydro Mechanical Engineer – Daily.
• Carry out regular safety inspection on intakes security fencing signage etc across the schemes and action critical repairs on a timely manner.
• Hydro Scheme Maintenance including but not limited to

• Clean Intakes regularly.
• Clean Screens across the Lochaber and Spey schemes.
• Support regulatory checks & inspections
• General Hydro Scheme Maintenance
• Road Maintenance.
• Grass and Scrub management around Dams and Intakes.
• Tree Cutting
• Fencing
• Winter Maintenance – Plough and Grit Access Roads paths etc.

• Supervision and assist contractors working on the hydro schemes
• Condition inspections of the assets
• Valve operation – pipeline filling, emptying, maintenance, scouring
• Photography and IT skills (basic)
• Isolation of Hydro Scheme & power station infrastructure (to level of IO training)
• Support the Lochaber Hydro Operators where required.
• Support estates maintenance where agreed with the Mechanical Engineer.
• Other duties as instructed to support the hydro scheme, Smelter & estates.

• Receives, verifies, sorts and classifies, warehouses, and issues a variety of excess surplus property.
• Conducts extensive review, research, verification and receipt of a variety of routine and complex property.
• Employs Federal Cataloging Procedures to properly validate or change data elements.
• Certifies that items are eligible for sale.
• Reviews disposal turn-in document (DTID) accompanying material.

• Messages consist of instructions on movement of the train as to present and future assignments and must be accurately received and transmitted.
• Shifts, spots, and switches rail cars carrying ordinance material and other supplies throughout the installation.
• Serves as a crew member in charge with responsibility for the safe operation of the engine, train, and crew within the installation.
• Serves as a conductor in the absence of the primary conductor.
• Performs operator maintenance on the locomotive by assuring proper level of oil in crankcase, checking level of water or antifreeze in cooling system and batteries.
• Prior to use, inspects locomotives and completes DD Form 862, Daily Inspection Worksheet for Diesel Electric Locomotives and Locomotive Cranes

The primary purpose of the position is the operation and maintenance of drinking water and wastewater systems throughout the park.

• Provide secondary treatment of wastewater in accordance with Federal, state, and/or local regulations, as well as Departmental and Bureau level policy.
• Assists in the operation of the Membrane Bioreactor wastewater treatment plant with disinfection by liquid chlorination.
• Required to keep accurate logs on the various phases of operation, plant condition(s), and laboratory test results.
• Collect water samples and conduct extensive testing to determine such things as particulates, acidity, or alkalinity, chloring residual, biochemical oxygen demand, suspended and dissolved solids, and dissolved oxygen.
• Incumbent must determine seriousness when issues arise and decide whether to shut down the plant until repairs can be made.
• Perform routine operator maintenance and determines what repairs are required through consultation, who to notify to get repairs accomplished, etc.
• Follow scheduled daily, weekly, and monthly inspections and routine servicing of mechanical equipment such as valves, compressors, motors, centrifugal, macerator, and air lift pumps, automatic controls such as electrical relays, time delay switches, and pump start-stop switches.

• Represent management as the direct interface between Wheeler-Sack Army Airfield, the Army Field Support Battalion, and the Defense Logistics Agency representatives for all matters concerning petroleum supply and distribution requirements.
• Operate and maintain a complete mechanical fuels distribution system to include the airfield's Oasis aircraft hot refueling point.
• Verify the daily physical inventory from eight refuel tankers and five above ground storage tanks by means of tapes, bob, and petroleum detecting paste to determine the quantity of fuel on hand.
• Responsible for requesting the ordering of bulk F-24, when needed, to maintain mission readiness for Department of Defense aircraft.
• Direct the receipt and transfer of F-24 from commercial tank trucks to storage tank.
• Serves as an Airfield Hazardous Materials Representative for Waste and Contaminated Petroleum, Oils, and Lubricant with Fort Drum on hazardous materials issues.
• Operates aircraft de-icing equipment consisting of a 66,000 pounds gross vehicle weight (GVW) hi-reach with a 78-foot-high boom and a mobile high lift vehicle with a 120-foot-high boom with open bucket for large, fixed wing aircraft.

• Receives and processes incoming shipments.
• Operates electric forklifts capable of lifting up to 6,000 pounds as high as 14 feet.
• Unloads, inspects, and tallies stock to ensure quantities and types of items align with shipping documents.
• Performs driver maintenance tasks in accordance with established rules and regulations.
• Performs formal inventories semi-annually.

As a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER, GS-1152-09, you will establishes plans and schedules for maintenance and repair, using multiple process production methods and procedures for a variety of vehicles and equipment such as combat vehicles, heavy-duty engineering and mobile equipment, tracked vehicles, towed and self-propelled artillery, communications and electronic equipment, guided missile systems, and small arms. Implements maintenance plans and monitors progress of accomplishments. Using readiness, production and management reports available from the current automation support program and/or manual system, provides status of equipment, maintenance actions in progress, and location of equipment as required or requested. Responsible for data input of work order information, status changes, supply updates, and other pertinent information. Makes on-the-spot adjustments to repair priorities necessitated by unscheduled maintenance requirements.

Operates field-type tractors with attachments to maintain the grasses at the golf course. Operates a variety of equipment to include but not limited to the following: mowers, aerators, plows, harrows, clippers, sprayers, disks, post hole diggers, moveable dozer, blades, backhoe, and other equipment ranging from small hand held applicators to tractor drawn liquid and solid dispensers. Makes all adjustments to equipment to ensure proper settings, connections, and mechanical soundness of equipment. Observes all safety rules and regulations pertaining to vehicle operation. Performs operator maintenance on field-type tractors and related equipment. Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Perform equipment identification, location functions, and accuracy of equipment records utilizing hand held scanner, Real Time Location System (RTLS) and queries through property accounting systems.
• Obtain facts and circumstances containing loss or damage to property and prepares Inventory Adjustment Reports, Statement of Charges, or Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss documents.
