OCU /Unit / Section - Operation Northleigh - Grenfell Fire Investigation
Operation Northleigh is the criminal investigation and response into the Grenfell Tower Fire disaster.
This is a unique opportunity to get involved in one of the largest homicide investigations which has run alongside a Public Inquiry. We are now at a crucial stage, a decisive turning point which will see us building cases against key companies and individuals with whom responsibility for refurbishing the tower lay. As such the investigation has intensified and is now very fast moving.
Location - Hendon Peel Centre
Working hours Operation Northleigh is committed to blended working with flexibility covering the main location (Hendon) The usual working week is Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm . Part time/ condensed hours can be accommodated ( minimum of 3 days a week)
Hybrid working arrangement, 4 days in the office 1 day form home. Overtime is available but not mandatory.
Vetting Level - CTC
Reports to - Detective Sergeant
Key Responsibilities - Action led tasking to progress established criminal investigations.
Essential Criteria - Previous experience of Major / Complex Crime Investigations.
Desirable Criteria - Previous experience of working in a Major Incident Room (MIR) or Major Investigation Team (MIT) HOLMES environment.
Have sound report writing/written skills
Must be IT literate and have a good command and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Period of Posting - minimum 12 months with a potential for extension.
