This position has job functions that must be executed within specific geographic locations. The official duty station is a federal facility, leased space, or an alternative worksite (typically the employee’s home) within the specified geographic area. Although you must reside and perform the job functions in the specific geographic location, it will not require you to report to the agency worksite on a regular and recurring basis.
The position is in GSA, Office of Assisted Acquisition Services (AAS), Acquisition and Procurement Center of Excellence (APEX). The Location of this position will be determined upon selection in one of the following States: Alabama, Florida, Kansas, Maryland, Minnesota, Virginia, Washington DC (Candidate is required to reside or move to one of the states listed).
Major Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Operates as a Project Manager providing technical and acquisition support for commercial and/or noncommercial acquisitions, including but not limited to Information Technology (IT)services, Professional Services (PS),digital services, operations and maintenance, and managed services on a national scale.
- Manages projects in accordance with all pertinent DoD or agency specific regulations acquisition authorities and principles.
- Performs a wide range of complex analyses to evaluate customer needs and devise innovative, customer focused solutions.
- Analyzes requests to determine specific customer needs, conducts extensive coordination with the respective customer agency stakeholders to identify requirements, and manages task orders per agency policy.
- Develops, monitors, and manages project budgets and contractual spend, ensuring careful planning and allocation of financial resources.
- Oversees the management of customer funding and follows AAS standard operating procedures to ensure proper billing and cost recovery for services provided to clients.
- Builds positive relationships by understanding stakeholders' needs, concerns, and expectations, fostering collaboration and cooperation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Regularly reports to senior management and stakeholders on project progress, achieved milestones, and deviations from the initial plan to build transparency and trust
