Murphy has created a new role for a Senior Planner to work on a high-profile rail project in Leeds/York. You will prepare and articulate expert plans for the project, ensuring that they comply with company and functional procedures. You will drive efficiency by certifying they meet with standards and contribute to business success.

What you will be doing

- Collaborate across disciplines to develop and revise the civil delivery programme, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of intended delivery strategy, dependencies, risks and progress.
- Input into progress reporting, contribute insights, identify issues and propose effective solutions.
- Prepare a resourced programme, including reviewing the outcome for conformance with expectations and requirements.
- Contribute to the risk register and undertake schedule risk analysis.
- Work closely with other planners/sections to identify and plan critical interfaces.
- Input into collaborative planning and interface workshops.
- Manage personally controlled project documentation in an orderly fashion.
- Carry out other relevant duties as required from time to time.
- Contribute to coaching, supporting and formal training of others.
- Provide a link to communicate planning community information between all parties
- Draw up a bid preparation programme and contribute to the tender queries database.
- Define methods and establish competitive outputs, in consultation with the estimator and other team members, including the supply chain in appropriate circumstances.
- Assist with the design engineer to establish a design brief for temporary works.
- Provide the estimator with a justified schedule of temporary works and other indirect cost items.

To work as a business partner to the North East and Yorkshire Genomic Medicine Service (GMS). To provide HR and OD expert advice, the post holder will be required to take the lead on HR, OD and Training and Development issues for their allocated areas, advising and recommending actions to Heads of Department, the GMS Executive team and Partnership Board thereby ensuring compliance with employment law and governance requirements. To build and deliver a people strategy that will underpin our ambition to operate regionwide as a single virtual team, delivering a high quality, equitable and efficient service for our patientsincluding very complex workforce planning and employee relations issues. To take a lead role on initiatives, within the GMS, relating to workforce modernisation, staff engagement, health and wellbeing, workforce efficiency & productivity through effective people management. To identify and address development needs in relation to people management skills, capacity and capability. . Working with partner Trust line managers and HR leads on effective appraisal and personal development implementation with CSUs. The postholder is required to maintain knowledge on leading practice on workforce transformation. This will require a deep understanding of GMS challenges and opportunities to jointly develop strategies and delivery plans to achieve workforce transformation aligned to identified People Priorities. The postholder holds full accountability for the implementation of effective HR and OD approaches across their GMS, and for the quality of advice given on HR and OD issues to the GMS management teams.
