Senior Analyst Corporate Strategy
You will actively support defining Amadeus’ corporate strategy and ensure execution of key strategic initiatives both at company level as well as within CST, by executing and / or following up the execution of the initiatives, identifying deviation vs the expected plans and supporting to remove blocking items as required. You will regularly report to top management to provide visibility on execution status. Besides execution capabilities you will be required to regularly interact with VP offices and CEO Office.
You will actively participate in the initiatives undertaken by the Competitive Intelligence team, providing top management and overall Amadeus employees with actionable intelligence on the external environment that will help drive Amadeus' strategy and adapt to changes in the environment: this will require performing market environment analysis, identifying key trends and understanding the related risks and opportunities for Amadeus, answering specific requests from CEO, ExCom members and other areas’ requests.
You will participate in the execution of strategic projects, which will in most cases be transversal (i.e. impacting several functions / business units) and well as support managing the planning processes within CST (LTP, Budget, staffing).
In this role you’ll:
Corporate strategy definition and execution
- Help define, jointly with the SMO head and the team, Amadeus’ corporate strategy. It will require an overall understanding of Amadeus’ key strategic priorities, of the BUs strategies and of the overall market environment.
- Define, together with the SMO head and the team, the agenda of Amadeus Strategy Retreat and Board of Directors (BoD) annual strategy sessions and prepare documentation of the session, both preparing some presentations as well as helping to manage the overall package of documentation, coordinating with strategy / VP offices across Amadeus, defining content requirements and delivery timelines. Review and provide feedback on the documentation.
- Support the execution of Amadeus’ corporate strategy via execution of the action items coming out of the sessions with ExCom / BoD. In some cases, helping to drive it, and in all following up execution status and providing visibility. In case of blocking points, removing them or, alternatively, escalating them as required.
- Coordination of CST documentation for QBR and ExCom strategy sessions.
- Role will require interaction with CST VP, as well as with the strategy departments of the BUs, as well as the BU heads and CEO and VP offices. Occasional interaction with CEO will also be required.
- Support in the communication of Amadeus’ corporate strategy by different means (supporting in the communication via ALG events, internal events, mails, Neo…).
Execution of strategic projects
- Participate in the execution of strategic projects (depending on the project), which will in most cases be transversal (i.e. impacting several functions / business units) and well as manage the planning processes within CST (LTP, Budget, staffing).
- This will require defining objectives of the project, timing, setting up the governance, getting alignment and support from different stakeholders involved, presenting outcome to top management involved (i.e. normally Director, VP or ExCom level).
- Follow up of the execution of the projects may be required. When required, responsibilities will include setting up the follow up governance structure.
- Execution of ad-hoc projects: execute / deliver projects to answer requests from CEO / ExCom / CST VP. IT will require understanding the issue and leading the process to generate the expected outcome (e.g. questions on competitors’ positioning, industry benchmarks, strategic assessment / implications of certain topics), which may require interaction and alignment with internal stakeholders and interviewing internal or external experts or engaging with consultants (which could require issuing RPF processes).
Competitive Intelligence initiatives
- Identify key developments impacting Amadeus competitive position, taken on accountability for certain deliverables such as the daily news review, trends of the week, webinars, ID cards…
- Actively contributing to projects related to strategy definition and evaluation with the Corporate Strategy and Business Development teams.
- Preparing documentation for top management (i.e. regular BoD updates, ExCom Quarterly Business Review documentation, regular updates to ExCom delivered by VP of CST,).
- Disseminating knowledge across the company, interacting as required with top management to ensure insights trigger action planning and actively participating in events (owning / leading parts of the) including presentations (e.g. Competitive Intelligence webinars with over 500 attendees, dedicated sessions with ExCom direct reports, teams.
Internal CST planning and SMO
- Coordinate internal CST processes, such as Budget, LTP, staffing… This will require aligning and coordinating other CST areas, interacting with Finance, delivering documentation within the defined deadlines, ensuring coherence of information…
- Lead and coordinate intra CST financial processes (Budget, LTP), coordinating other CST areas, interacting with Finance, delivering information requests on time.
- Coordinate other internal CST activities like internal events, communication activities.
About the ideal candidate
- Bachelor’s or a master’s degree in business
- At least 5 years work experience in project management, strategy, consultancy

- Able to conduct quantitative and qualitative problem-solving processes.
