Purpose of Position
Information technology (IT) Project Manager will manage all types of IT initiatives (i.e. product development, finance, security, infrastructure, transformation, IT risk, M&A, back-office, enterprise tooling, etc.) for Xplor. This job will coordinate people and processes to ensure projects & initiatives are delivered on time and produce the desired results. You will be the go-to person for everything involving a project or initiative’s organization and timeline.
Objectives of this Role
The position of IT Project Manager consists of planning, initiating and managing information technology projects. It also consists of leading and guiding the work of technical staff, liaison between business and technical aspects of projects, planning project stages and assessing business implications for each stage, and monitoring progress to ensure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met. As a project manager,
• Coordinating internal resources and vendors for the flawless execution of projects
• Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
Key Accountabilities and Performance Metrics
• Develop or update and manage detailed project plans ensuring resource availability and allocation and delivering every project on time within budget and scope.
• Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
• Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
• Report and escalate to management as needed
• Establish and maintain relationship with project resources, 3rd parties/vendors and all stakeholders
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Perform budget tracking and financial analysis
• Create project deliverables ie. scope definition, status report, RAID log, etc.
• Establish and execute project communication plan
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Conduct data collection, cleansing, and preparation to support analysis efforts.
• Perform advanced statistical analyses and data modeling to uncover actionable insights.
