Career Grade Planner (Planning Enforcement)
Grade 4 to 7, £24,294 up to £40,221 per annum pro rata (Pay award pending), depending on experience, plus essential car user allowance of £850 per annum
37 hours per week, permanent contract, part time applications will be considered
We are seeking to appoint a new Planning Enforcement Officer to the Planning Enforcement Team, part of the East Midlands RTPI LPA Team of the Year.
This career graded post is an excellent opportunity, for an experienced enforcement officer or someone who is just starting out in their planning career. Either way, we want to support and develop your skills to perform and progress as a professional officer.
Working as an Enforcement Officer, you will be responsible for handling planning enforcement cases, dealing with retrospective planning applications, prosecutions and appeals.
You will be an excellent communicator, comfortable with handling conflict and negotiating solutions to challenging problems. We will also give you the opportunity to broaden your skills and gain valuable experience to support your career development.
It is possible to enter the career grade at any level, from Assistant to Senior, provided you meet the entry criteria and welcome applicants at all levels to apply. If your application is successful, you will be appointed at the appropriate scale and starting salary, depending on your skills and experience.
We operate a ‘hybrid working’ model with a mix of office based, home and remote working available when suitable. The contractual base will be office based with agreed flexibility to work from home or at remote working locations in the borough.
