This is an ad hoc position covering annual leave and absence, hours of work may vary but shift patterns are normally 12 hours duration, covering Monday - Sunday.

As part of a small team, you will need to be flexible to support your colleagues.

Substantial experience as a Corporate Security Officer is essential, and to succeed in this role you will also need:

- Perform Security Duties in line with site procedures. To include patrols of site, reporting of issues, static security posts, control room cover and pass administration where required,

- Assist the Security Control Room Supervisor in all their duties,

- Act in emergency situations (e.g. fire evacuation or medical emergency) and administer First Aid and AED if required,

- Managing access to the site in line with policies and procedures,

- Ensure the safety and protection of the people, visitors, vendors, property, reputation and information of the client at all times, in a knowledgeable and service-oriented manner, ensuring an unobtrusive and comfortable environment,

- Demonstrate the core brand values and culture of both the client and ICTS, always promoting a positive image of both,

- Ensure a groomed and professional appearance at all times in line with Site procedures and Front of House standards,

- Produce and maintain any relevant, required documentation in support the operations (logbook, patrol reports, incident reports, etc.),

- Proactively refer to and review the procedures, familiarising yourself with any changes and provide suggestions to improve or enhance the level of service,

- Participate in training which is in place to achieve and maintain the level of service,

- Collaborative approach to working with other internal Client departments to ensure smooth, seamless operations,

- Maintain an alert and vigilant approach at all times, to determine any potential threats or changes within the work environment and take the appropriate steps in order to reduce disruption, loss or damage,

- Proactively promote security awareness,

- Identify, mitigate, respond and escalate to the Security Control Room any security threats / risks / incidents including suspect mail packages, bomb threats, surveillance, dawn raid, intruders, etc,

- Conduct searches of staff and property in line with local regulation, best practice and security certification in the very rare instances this may be required,

- Undertaking other reasonable security functions as required by the security management team and client.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential

- 5 years checkable background,

- 3-5 years of experience in the corporate security industry,

- Documentation to prove eligibility to work within the UK, if applicable,

- Excellent command of English - both verbal and written,

- Computer literacy,

- SIA License (Security & CCTV),

- First Aid at Work,

- Experience in a Concierge/Hosting/Customer facing role within the corporate environment,

- Flexible, professional attitude and adept at working under pressure,

- Customer oriented with a passion for high-level service,

- Proactive approach, whilst maintaining discretion and confidentiality at all times,

- Self-aware and motivated, able to participate in teams fully to achieve results,

- Neat and professional personal presentation,

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office,

- Proven track record of reliability and good time keeping,

This is a unique opportunity to support a large scale and, high-profile statutory Public Inquiry investigating Scotland's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This role requires excellent attention to detail, due to the high volumes of documents which require rigorous legal analysis; strong interpersonal skills as you will be working closely with all members of the Inquiry; and flexibility and adaptability, working as part of a small project team, you will be expected to embrace and adapt to change as the project develops.

Contract to last until 31st March 2025. With a LTD day rate of £163.66 increasing to £165.34 from January.

Key Responsibilities

• Working with a team of solicitors and Counsel to engage in a project to consider and analyse voluminous and complex evidence for use by the legal and Counsel team in their investigations.
• Carrying out other tasks required by the inquiry, including providing cover for the wider team of paralegals.
• Attending and participating in regular project planning meetings to discuss the project, as required.

Essential Criteria

• Ability to carry out tasks independently with minimum oversight, remaining calm under pressure.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately and in line with legal requirements and the ability to prioritise, organise, manage, store and retrieve information effectively
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and research skills and experience of using these in a legal context.

Desirable Skills

• Good knowledge of Scots Law, the role would suit those with an LLB or in their final year of a Law degree. Alternatively the role may suit those with paralegal experience.

What you'll do

We’re looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to manage and coordinate the delivery of legal advice in relation to a litigation and investigations caseload. The skills you'll need

We’ll expect you to have in depth knowledge of general banking law and practice, and the financial services industry, coupled with the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships across the bank.

You’ll also need:

• Knowledge of litigation and investigations, the commercial environment within which it operates and associated legal issues
• Experience of working with leading law firms and other professional advisers and consultants

The working pattern for this post will be on a 4 on 4 off basis, which will be as followed:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Street Enforcement Officers to undertake a variety of duties to improve the safety and quality of the street environment with a primary focus on enforcement by using delegated statutory functions. This will involve extensive communication and engagement with members of the public, businesses, other Council services and other stakeholders and may involve investigations and involvement in demanding and complex cases.
