About the Role:
Perth Better Homes We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team,
specialising in playground, fitness park, and related structure designs, manufacturing and installation. If you are passionate about creating safe, enjoyable public spaces and have a strong background in project management, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare sketches, designs, and technical plans for civil engineering projects focused on playgrounds, fitness parks, and associated infrastructure.
• Estimate material costs accurately and ensure all projects meet regulatory standards and contract provisions.
• Perform and oversee fieldwork, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
• Conduct field and lab tests of construction materials to maintain high-quality standards.
• Interpret work assignment instructions, apply appropriate procedures, and select suitable equipment.
• Organize and supervise maintenance and repair work for completed projects.
• Demonstrated experience in shade-sail design and construction is highly desirable.
Qualifications:
Certified Trade qualifications preferred.
At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications.
Key Skills:
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar environment.
• Proficiency in drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD) for creating detailed technical designs and sketches
• Strong analytical skills for data collection, computation, and material cost estimation
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards and contract compliance in civil engineering projects
• Effective communication and teamwork skills for coordinating with clients, contractors, and team members
• Project management skills for overseeing fieldwork, inspections, and maintenance activities
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality control and safety regulations
Salary: $75k - $85k pa
