An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation. Our client, a blue-chip IT company, is currently seeking a System and Network Administrator to work on their customer site in Slough, this role is hybrid working remotely and in the office. This is a full-time (37.5 hours) temporary role for 3 months (August to October) the role is paying £50 per hour.
Responsibilities
* Assist in maintaining data center systems in Slough
* 24x7 on-call for systems
- Part-time on-site at Data Center and part-time remote for management of infrastructure.
- Maintenance Windows occur monthly and will require weekend work.
- Equipment installation and configuration.
- Assist build of Customer PoCs and Pilots according to established SOPs.
- Configure Hardware, Software and Tools.
- Assist Cybersecurity team in monitoring and remediation.
- Direct interaction with customers to solve support tickets.
- Open comprehensive tickets with third parties and work with third parties to resolve.
- Assist growing team by helping with test planning and test execution and by suggesting and helping to implement improvements.
Skills & Knowledge
- Flexible as processes change and approve.
- Data Centre operations and processes.
- Tidy cabling skills.
- Data Centre Cybersecurity familiarity.
- Competency in hardware installation and configuration.
- Use technical documentation for guidance.
- Creating and updating configuration documentation and improve and contribute to documentation.
- Windows and Linux client OS.
- Windows and Linux Server OS.
- Collaborative and good communication skills.
- Curious and life-long learner.
- Extreme attention to detail
