An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation. Our client, a blue-chip IT company, is currently seeking a System and Network Administrator to work on their customer site in Slough, this role is hybrid working remotely and in the office. This is a full-time (37.5 hours) temporary role for 3 months (August to October) the role is paying £50 per hour.

Responsibilities

* Assist in maintaining data center systems in Slough
* 24x7 on-call for systems

• Part-time on-site at Data Center and part-time remote for management of infrastructure.
• Maintenance Windows occur monthly and will require weekend work.
• Equipment installation and configuration.
• Assist build of Customer PoCs and Pilots according to established SOPs.
• Configure Hardware, Software and Tools.
• Assist Cybersecurity team in monitoring and remediation.
• Direct interaction with customers to solve support tickets.
• Open comprehensive tickets with third parties and work with third parties to resolve.
• Assist growing team by helping with test planning and test execution and by suggesting and helping to implement improvements.

Skills & Knowledge

• Flexible as processes change and approve.
• Data Centre operations and processes.
• Tidy cabling skills.
• Data Centre Cybersecurity familiarity.
• Competency in hardware installation and configuration.
• Use technical documentation for guidance.
• Creating and updating configuration documentation and improve and contribute to documentation.
