Key Responsibilities:

You will work reviewing and resolving ageing balances within the GRNI accounts; monitor, maintain and clear GRNI account balances and conduct monthly reconciliation of accounts payable/receivable ledgers to general ledger control accounts and review data for reasonableness and completeness, ensuring JSOX compliance.

• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices

Greenway’s new Specialist Resource Bases (SRB) will support children from across Cardiff with complex needs, including social communication difficulties. We will have two resource bases within the main school building and the successful candidates will have the opportunity to assist in setting up the bases and launch the new classes. We want the new SRB provision to be an extension of our, already strong, approach to inclusion and to feel very much part of our school family.
Children in our resource base will receive a specialist curriculum to support their individual needs and a sensory based approach focused on development rather than age. The successful post holders will be responsible for supporting the specialist class teachers and address the needs of individual pupils, supporting them to overcome barriers to learning and demonstrate a commitment to the inclusion of every child and ensuring that all pupils have equal opportunities to access a broad and balanced curriculum. The post would suit teaching assistants with experience of working with pupils with additional learning needs in either a mainstream primary or specialist setting. A commitment to play based, experiential learning both indoors and outdoors is essential as is knowledge of supporting the implementation of Individual Development Plans for pupils.

A rapidly growing manufacturing and production company based on the outskirts of Middlesbrough, due to expansion, is looking for an experienced accounts assistant to join a friendly and welcoming finance team.

Your new role

The role will be an initial 9-month Fixed Term Contract,
The main responsibility of the role is the entry and reconciliation of routine accounting transactions daily:

• Entry of bank transactions
• Daily bank reconciliations
• Allocation of customer receipts
• Involvement in credit control
• Maintaining sales ledger
• Communication with Customer Services and other Finance team members
• Entry of Purchase Invoices
• Maintaining purchase ledger
• Reconciliation of supplier statements
• Prepare supplier payments.
• Intercompany balance reconciliations
• Petty cash control and analysis

What you'll need to succeed

Requirements and skills

• Significant experience in volume entry of transactions into accounting systems using multiple currencies.
• Understanding of the implications of transactions throughout the Finance system
• Methodical, thorough, and accurate approach
• Good time management
• Excellent communication skills
• Experienced in using MS Excel
• Working knowledge of SAP or Sage

The successful candidate will join the established and supportive team who, with the support of the Principal Social Worker and Team Manager will assist with the delivery of services. The successful candidate will be responsible for case allocation of a small caseload of where necessary for the particular team.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. To arrange and monitor appropriate services in line with individual care plans.
2. To provide advice and practical help.
3. To liaise with voluntary and statutory agencies.
4. To complete annual care plan reviews and or reassessments.
5. To participate in team meetings and duty rotas.
6. To undertake these duties in line with Council Policies and Procedures.
7. To undertake training and self-development and to contribute to this process in others.
