1. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES Provision of a high-quality clinical pharmacy service as part of the multidisciplinary team to all patients within the renal unit, to ensure maximum efficacy, safety and economic drug use and to demonstrate professional accountability to enhance patient care. The responsibilities will include regular attendance of consultant ward rounds and daily registrar ward rounds Delivery of a high quality, specialist ward-based pharmacy service, including medicines reconciliation, expert review of complex drug regimens, drug history taking, drug interaction monitoring, dose reduction and ensuring timely and efficient drug supply and discharge planning within the Renal Unit. Diamond Ward (Highgate West) is a 17-bed male acute treatment ward. It specialises in the treatment of patients with severe mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, bipolar affective disorder, depression and personality disorder, with associated challenging behaviours/risks. The focus is in detailed clinical and risk assessment with a view to starting early effective treatment. The clinical lead for the team is Dr Kavinda Gunathillaka, Consultant Psychiatrist. The post would involves working closely with other MDT members such as nursing staff, psychiatrists, OTs and psychologists.

Tasks would include participating in daily MDT meetings and ward rounds (clinical reviews), clerking in new patients, reviewing patients’ mental and physical health, ordering relevant investigations, performing physical examinations, blood tests and ECGs and participating in the out of hours core trainee rota. The foundation doctor would be working under the close supervision of Dr Gunathillaka, his specialty doctor and core trainees.

The post may be based full time in Diamond Ward or may be split between Diamond and another treatment ward in Highgate Mental Health Centre. If the post is split it will involve 3 days per week in Diamond and 2 days per week in another ward. The post has arisen because of a gap due to the post not being filled by a Deanery foundation doctor.

South London Regional Research Delivery Network (RRDN) is looking for an enthusiastic Research Nurse to join the Agile Workforce team.

The Research Nurse will play a key role in ensuring that any research undertaken within the Care settings department safeguards the wellbeing of the patients and is conducted according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and the Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trial) Regulations 2004 and Amended Regulations 2006.

Working collaboratively with the clinical trials team and the wider multidisciplinary team in the management of research patients. They will also act as a patient advocate providing support and assistance as required and assist in the coordination and management of a portfolio of clinical research studies.

The post holder will be required to work flexibly across sites within the RDN: South London geography. The employing Trust will be Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.

If applying as a registered nurse you must have appropriate UK professional registration.

The post holder will be responsible for delivering an agreed number of portfolios of clinical trials within the Secondary, Primary Care and Community settings across the South London region. • Serve as members' primary point of contact, addressing their needs and enhancing their experience through excellent service and proactive communication. Develop feedback mechanisms to assess satisfaction and adapt wellness strategies accordingly.
• Manage the operational aspects of the gym, ensuring high standards of service and facility management, with an emphasis on wellness.
• Ensure all activities adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for all members and staff. Regularly review and update safety protocols and emergency response strategies.

What you bring:

• Candidates must hold a Level 3 personal training qualification
• Ability and experience holding group classes, including spin, strength and conditioning, box-fit , & mobility (Pilates qualification would be an advantage)
• Ability to conduct health assessments
• Excellent people skills to engage and motivate participants
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively working with diverse clients and professionals.
• A background in fitness industry with a strategic vision for integrating wellness into traditional fitness settings.
• Be willing to hold Health and Wellbeing events within the building, also hold the confidence to approach our cliental on site and advertise our facilities/programmes.
