Radiology Assistant

Up to £24,000.00 pro rata depending on experience
22.5 hours per week
The role will work on a rota basis undertaking shifts between 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday, there may be scope to include Saturdays or late hours. Therefore, please ensure you have flexibility to work within these times.

As a Radiology Assistant, you will:

Assist the Radiologists and Radiographers during imaging (CT/MRI/ Ultrasound/interventional) procedures.

To prepare the examination rooms prior to imaging procedures.

Act as chaperone during examinations

To receive and prepare patients for examinations, by confirming their ID, expected examination and safety questionnaires.

Provide general administration assistance to the admin team, to include booking appointments, maintaining the diary and responding to queries.

To maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.

Stock taking and ordering.
As a Radiology Assistant, you will need:

GCSE Maths and English.

Level 3 qualification in Healthcare (or equivalent).

Experience within a healthcare work environment, preferably within a people focused setting.

Basic IT skills.

Good organisation skills.

Imaging/Radiology is located on the lower ground floor, with many windows with a wonderful view to the sea and very well maintained green spaces all around. We provide free car park for all our employees, but we also have local agreements with the council if you want to cycle to work and having an electric bike - cycle to work scheme.
We share the floor with Medical Records and Pathology. In the Radiology department we have US Rooms, General X-ray room, C-arm interventional suit, Mammography, CT and MRI. It is a very calm but at times fast paced department, with friendly and very good working staff. We provide a full range of medical and surgical specialities delivered in state-of-the-art clinical facilities, including orthopaedics, cosmetic surgery, spinal services, sports injury, ENT, gynaecology, urology, as well as a rapid access breast clinic.
