The Oncology/Hematology Registered Nurse (RN) is a clinical expert who uses advanced specialized knowledge and judgement for delivery of high quality and evidence-based care to oncology patients and their families. Team Leader. This Food Service Worker position is located within the Nutrition & Food Service at the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center.

Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Sets up and breaks down assigned station with the correct supplies and food items;
• Portions food items into standard serving sizes using the proper utensils and specified dishware
• Selects and places correct items on patient trays

The WPB VA Medical Center has a designated role in the Geriatrics and Extended Care Service that serves as the Attending Physician and Medical Director of the Community Living Center (CLC). The incumbent provides clinical and administrative oversight of the CLC. They will also be a teaching faculty member in our Geriatrics Fellowship program. • Performing patient care procedures such as collection of specimens, applying dressings, adjusting simple supportive equipment. Performs simple procedures such as collection of blood samples or other fluid samples from ambulatory patients and application of sterile dressings to uncomplicated wounds. Uses proper sterile techniques for collection of samples.
• Verifying correct labeling and patient identification.
• Recording test time and intervals as appropriate. Assists with or performs standard health care procedures. Special procedures for women's health can include the annual breast, pap and cervical screening and interview.
