Will function as a generalist performing testing in all disciplines of the clinical laboratory including hematology, blood bank, coagulation, serology, urinalysis, microbiology, chemistry and specimen collection.

The nature of the work demands an advanced thorough knowledge of clinical laboratory sciences as they relate to the performance of laboratory analysis on human blood, tissues and body fluids. An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic surgeon seeking an opportunity to join the General Surgical, Upper GI and Colorectal Surgical team for a permanent appointment. This post does include an on-call commitment.

The department serves a population of 210,000 for General Surgery, comprising of list cases, endoscopy sessions, emergencies and outpatient clinics.
