The role involves proactive monitoring and tracking of the cancer patients ensuring that their journey is processed in a timely and efficient manner, in line with Cancer Waiting Time Targets.

It is imperative that the post holder has a full understanding of the Cancer Waiting Times Targets and the impact these have on both patient and Trust.

Applicants should have a good IT skills and an understanding of medical terminology which is essential. The ability to work with concentration and accuracy and to liaise with staff at all levels is also required.

The post holder will provide full and comprehensive administrative support to tumour specific multidisciplinary teams (MDT's) within the Trust.

It is imperative that the post holder has a full understanding of the Cancer Waiting Times Targets and the impact these have on both patient and Trust.

It is very important that the post holder has excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in order of importance. It also essential to be able to use your own initiative to resolve problems and also work as part of a team in order to meet personal and business objectives.

The Multi-Disciplinary Team plays a key part in delivering a first class service to patients referred into the Trust on a suspected cancer pathway. Team working is key in meeting this objective.

We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres. We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them to live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate. High quality patient care is at the heart of everything we do and we strive to ensure every single patient and service user has an exceptional experience with us. We have one of the most extensive patient experience programmes of any trust in England.

The main element of the role is to track patients referred into the Trust on a suspected cancer pathway. This involves documenting each step in the Somerset Cancer Register and escalating any investigations which fall outside of the agreed timescales. It is imperative each pathway is streamlined so that patients can be treated within the nationally agreed Cancer Waiting Times.

• Support any analysis required resulting from M&A activity
• Implement and deliver improved all round performance, management information and support corporate goals
• Produce management accounts information as allocated to support budgets and forecasting
• Develop good working relationships with budget holders, influencing and challenging as necessary
• Challenge cash positions on contracts with commercial teams as necessary
• Management and development of assistant finance business partner

• Qualified accountant or CIMA finalist

I am currently working with an amazing Multi Academy Trust who are looking for a Finance Officer (term-time only) to join their team on a temporary basis... there is a chance that the role will be permanent! Your new role

This includes coding donations correctly, supporting timely banking of funds, and coordinating gift aid submissions. The role also involves raising and managing invoices, chasing outstanding debts, and handling legacy income. For expenditure, the Finance Executive ensures purchase invoices and credit card expenses are processed accurately, assists with expense queries, prepares payment runs, and reconciles creditor accounts. They also manage bank reconciliations, handle non-income and non-creditor payments, and support investment management. Additionally, the role supports the production of month-end and year-end accounts, manages accruals and prepayments, and updates grant expenditure. The Finance Executive also reviews budget lines, supports fundraising events, and handles ad hoc tasks as needed.

• AAT qualified
