The Procurement & Supply Chain directorate at UCLH currently have a vacancy for a Deputy Systems Manager and Administrator. The role is responsible for supporting the administration and management of procurement and supply chain related IT systems and associated data. It is essential that applicants have a keen understanding of, and are comfortable managing IT systems, working with MS

Office products and experience of procurement and finance related systems would certainly be an advantage. The post holder will have key working relationships with all members of the procurement, supply chain, finance and many clinical and management staff across UCLH, the Trust Digital Services (ICT) department and partner (Atos), and the Trust’s commercial suppliers. They will act as the key focal point for all supporting aspects of the systems manager role and act as deputy during their absence.

The post holder will be responsible for maintaining data and running reports for procurement colleagues, and on occasion, outside agencies. Additionally, the post holder will own, maintain and improve the department’s pages MyUCLH (intranet). You will also own training, user guides and other supporting provided by the trust on its systems.

· Deputising for the Systems Manager.

· Ensuring the UCLH catalogue and contracts are maintained and up to date in

consultation with Procurement Business Partners.

· Provide analytics and reports from procurement and supply chain systems

based on requests from internal user (adhoc or scheduled)

· Ensure updates to the trust’s IMS and eDC platforms is completed in line with

expected standards.

· Maintain trust data archives in relation to transactional procurement activity.

· To be responsible for data mining and exploitation and manage systems

requests to ensure timely, accurate and meaningful reports are provided.

· Ensure user’s queries and issues in relation to the trust procurement and supply

chain systems are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.

St Mary’s Hospital is a designated children’s and adult major trauma centre with a dedicated 24/7 children’s emergency department.

We serve both our local population receiving patients through our A&E and wards and we are also a tertiary referral centre receiving patients from other NHS Trusts through a dedicated paediatric retrieval service. All successful applicants will have the opportunity to join the retrieval team as nurse specialist.

We pride ourselves on our close working relationship with the paediatric wards, paediatric emergency department and children’s community nursing teams. We have a strong ethos of inter-professional team working. We are looking for candidates with a PICU qualification or equivalent for at least 6 months, and have sound clinical skills with recent evidence of developing leadership abilities. We welcome adult intensive care nurses who wish to transition to paediatric nursing.

Our multi-million pound expansion and refurbishment of CICU has seen our bed capacity almost double in capacity from eight to fifteen beds. Around 30 per cent come from the local North West London catchment area; the remainder are transferred by CATS.

This medical retina clinical and research fellowship in Moorfields offers a unique experience for aspiring medical retina specialists to obtain the experience and knowledge in managing complex medical retina, genetics and uveitis cases essential for taking up a future consultant post. Overview of the Nuclear Medicine Service at Royal Free London

The nuclear medicine service at the Royal Free Hospital provides a wide range of general nuclear medicine imaging and hybrid imaging with SPECT-CT and PET-CT, as well as being the largest UK centre for peptide receptor radionuclide therapy for neuroendocrine tumours.

The Royal Free London is one of the largest referral services for neuroendocrine tumours in Europe, and as a result there is access to Ga68 Dotatate PET-CT and radionuclide therapies. The department is currently involved in several imaging and therapy research studies involving Lu-PSMA.

The successful appointees will be given a share in an office with the other consultants and trainees.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DETAILS OF THE POST

The applicant would be expected to manage the radioligand therapies including scheduling of patients, clerking of patients. The applicant would be expected to review patients with neuroendocrine tumours.

We are looking for Consultant Cardiologist specialising in aortopathy and Adult Congenital Heart Disease.

The post will be appointed to the Barts Heart Centre, based at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust – the merger of three cardiac services into the new cardiovascular centre creates a new world-class institution that will provide state of the art cardiovascular care to a population of six million people. Under the leadership of the local academic health science network, UCL Partners, we are striving for excellence in academic and clinical domains, including the appointment of new clinical academics to ensure future excellence.

The adult CHD service provides all aspects of care to around 12000 patients. There is a busy surgical and congenital interventional programme and sub-speciality services including pregnancy, PHT, Aortopathy and Transition (based at GOSH).

The successful appointee will join the existing team of 6 CHD consultants (Dr Amit Bhan (clinical lead), Dr Seamus Cullen, Dr Filip Zemrak, Dr Bejal Pandya (clinical director of specialised services), Dr Kate Von Klemperer, Dr Fiona Walker), to develop and deliver in-patient and outpatient care for adults with CHD whilst also developing Aortopathy services for screening and inpatient consult for this patient group. Key aortic surgical contacts are Prof Aung Oo, Mr Ben Adams.




Continuing responsibility for the care of patients in his/her charge, including all administrative duties associated with patient care.

Leadership, development and organisation of the services in his/her charge in line with the Trusts’ business plans. Liaison and communication with the Clinical Director for ACHD, General Manager and Director for the Cardiovascular Clinical Academic Group.

With the agreement of the Clinical Director and Clinical Academic Group Director, development of his/her own interests and sub-specialities within the specialty, in line with business planning principles and commissioners’ approval, including active participation in research programmes.

To work within and between the adult CHD and Aortopathy teams, to provide expert care and consult services for inpatients with Aortopathy (with Drs Pandya and Von Klemperer).

He/she will also provide outpatient care for new and follow-up patients with CHD and also provide Aortopathy clinics and echo clinics for these patients.

He/she will also participate in the care of outreach CHD OPD provision developing a new outreach hub within Barts & The London NHS Trust.

There is also an in-patient care commitment for adults with CHD with daytime ITU / ward cover on a weekly basis (1:6) and He/she will join an on-call rota, which provides 24/7 CHD cover on a 1 in 6 rota. He/she will also provide a consult service for Aortopathy inpatients on a 1:3 in-hours basis. The out of hours rota requires a commitment based from home, which includes phone call availability and consult for acutely sick admissions. Time off in lieu can be considered for out-of-hours attendance at the hospital.

OP clinics have typically 10 patients with 1-2 new patients per list. The in-patient workload is around 5pts but can vary.

Participation weekly MDT’s attending the CHD and Ao MDT alternating weeks.

The post holder will fully contribute to the administrative, teaching and research activities within Barts Health and the Heart Hospital. All consultants represent the department on various committees within the trust as well as taking responsibility for particular delegated areas according to their interests and availability. The Clinical Director is responsible for delegating these responsibilities.

You will have had 2 year’s experience at band 5 level in critical care, having undertaken the Critical Care course and will have experience in mentoring new starters and undertaken some projects and audits in a critical care unit . Internal rotation into night shifts will be required. We are looking to recruit passionate, enthusiastic and dynamic Band 6 critical care nurse who is either at the start of developing their leadership skills post their ICU course or have substantial band 6 experience in critical care. You will be provided with supernumerary orientation programme and further training to develop leadership skills and a rotation into the practice development team and the Critical Care outreach team at Newham.

The post holder will be responsible and accountable for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care. They will be involved in the setting, monitoring and evaluating of standards of care and practice within the Unit. As a senior member of the nursing team, you will assist the Matron and Senior Sisters / Ward Managers in the leadership and management and development of the Unit and service. You will contribute to the education and professional development of both qualified and unqualified staff on the Unit. In the absence of the Senior Sister /Ward Manager the post holder will assume responsibility for the effective operation of the unit.
