What you’ll do:
- Install, maintain and repair the facilities electrical systems
- Perform routine inspections and identify potential issues
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems with precision
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success
- Adhere to safety standards
- Carry out PPM, Reactive Maintenance, and extra works requirements in accordance with set schedules.
- Ensure standards are maintained to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of the site systems.
- Adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements.
- Fault finding and remedial works as required
- Assist with other PPM/extra works related tasks
- Attend weekly site meetings and toolbox talks.
- Escort and supervise sub-contractors on site
- Respond in a timely manner to verbal and written requests
- First point of contact for the engineering supervisor
- Carry out multi skilled activities within the engineering remit
- Control of sub-contractors PPM visit
- Be part of the OOH emergency on call team
- Be proactive in new innovations and improved systems
- Be fully aware of the contract requirements for variable and managed works
- Responsible for managing and issuing permits for all contractors working within the Building
- Participate with the on-site/external training as an when required
What you bring:
- Proven experience with relevant and in date certifications and licences
- ·Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, tools and equipment
- Relevant level 3 electrical qualification
- Multiple installation experience – FP200 / SWA (installation and termination) / cable tray / ladder rack
- Emergency Lighting – functional testing and repair
- Minimum of City & Guilds Craft Qualification Certificate (electrical / mechanical) and demonstrable experience in a trade discipline
- Problem solving ability in response to technical issues, fault diagnosis and solution finding
- Strong sense of client focus
- The ability to listen to others understand and interpret their views
- Personal presentation must be of a high professional standard
- Prioritizing own workload and working under own initiative with minimal supervision
- Good organizational skills with the ability to organize others
- Ability to show a professional attitude to whatever jobs carried out.
