• You will serve as the On Scene Coordinator for providing preparedness and response to large-scale Navy spills of oils and hazardous substances.
• You will make real-time decisions on behalf of the REGCOM during real-world spill events.
• You will provide technical guidance, documents, and field assistance investigations and oversight of compliance management plans and studies.

Our client is seeking a skilled electrician to join the team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing (small amount), maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings in and around the rail (mainly back of house) and it's group district estate. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with local building codes and safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of electrical principles, codes, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Applications are invited for a permanent Lecturer or Senior Lecturer working in Bangor University’s dynamic and world-leading Nuclear Futures Institute located in the College of Science and Engineering.

We wish to appoint an academic in mechanical engineering (at lecturer or senior lecturer level, depending on experience) who will complement our existing research interests (see www.nubu.nu) and be willing to engage in multi- and interdisciplinary collaborations across the School of Computer Science and Engineering and with our many national and international industry and national lab stakeholders.

Candidates should be educated to PhD standard (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering and have previous experience in industry and/or academia. We particularly encourage those who could contribute to research in one or more of the following: sustainable mechanical design, nuclear engineering, thermal hydraulics, and robotics and dynamic systems. Complementary skills in computational modelling, neutronics/physics modelling and machine learning are also welcomed.

This role will be located on campus at Bangor. Through our Dynamic Working framework there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with the candidates at interview.
