Full time Civil Engineer
Duties:
• Designing and implementing repair and reinforcement solutions
• Administers contracts with supplier/subcontractors
• Communicates and monitors safety, environmental and quality requirements
• Leading projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to safety, environmental, quality, and financial standards
• Undertake and manage site inspections
• Prepare schedules to organise fabrication and installation
• Reviews and understand the risks in all project contracts
• Plans and executes strategies for risk mitigation and opportunity maximisation
• Inspecting and assessing structural integrity of concrete, steel, and timber infrastructures
• Managing budgets, schedules, and resource allocation
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution
• Collaborate with architects, and project manager to ensure the accuracy and feasibility of design concepts
• Draft and review specifications, plans construction procedures and method statements
• Interpret architectural and engineering plans, specifications and construction procedures to estimate total costs and prepare costing plans to help with the project budget.
• Arrange and manage labour on site, oversee materials and required equipment delivery, and create programs for site activities
• Monitor design changes, to determine any effects on cost and program, and negotiate variations to designs with value in mind
• Develop construction and commissioning Progress and Final Reports
• Support and perform design specification review, drawings sets and project schedule documentation
• Overseeing maintenance and rehabilitation projects from planning to completion
Skills and Experience:
• Relevant bachelor's degree in the relevant fields of Civil, Materials Engineer
• At least two years of relevant experience
• Current Australian Drivers Licence
• White Card NSW and IW Card is mandatory
• Discretionary bonus might apply
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, along with outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
