The Estates Maintenance Department at University Hospital’s Bristol and Weston NHS Trust has an exciting opportunity arise for an experienced Mechanical/Plumbing skilled tradesperson based in Bristol.

You’ll join an experienced and dedicated mechanical team, working as part of a larger estate’s workforce of around 100 people.
If you’re looking to expand your skills as a Plumber and move into commercial buildings – this is an ideal opportunity for you! We provide an extensive training package to support you in understanding a complex healthcare estate.
The ideal candidate will have:-
• Experience of working as a domestic or commercial plumber in any setting
• A City & Guild Mechanical/Plumbing qualification at Level 3 or equivalent
• Have a desire to work in a large healthcare environment
• React promptly to day-to-day breakdowns of plumbing and mechanical equipment/assets ensuring response and completion times meet the Trust KPI’s
• Carry out wide range of mechanical & plumbing repairs
• Undertake routine maintenance (PPM) of equipment/assets ensuring all work is logged using the PDA on the Agility system to meet the Trust’s KPI’s.
• Carry out minor installation work.
• To physically carry out manual work using safe working practice
• Interpret and work from instructions, drawings and specifications appropriate to key trade, with minimal supervision
• To become certified as a competent person in a discipline within your skill set.
• Pass on knowledge to apprentices and work experience students
• Take part in out of hours on call rota.
