Water and Wastewater Systems Engineer
Key Role:
Develop recommendations for associated water, wastewater, and stormwater facilities and infrastructure to meet both current mission and projected future mission requirements for a DoD client. Develop survivability enhancement recommendations for both real property, facility, and infrastructure investment for long-term military construction program infrastructure. Generate the research needed to produce the eventual plans, reports, and documents. Provide subject matter expertise to ongoing and planned construction, renovation, and sustainment projects that impact the water utility systems. Apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction and mentor team members. Leverage software and technology in the execution of daily tasking. Focus on supporting modernization of processes and developing optimization strategies.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience working on DoD installations on facilities projects maintenance and operations
- Experience with facilities planning and programming, including Military Construction or Special Projects Scope
- Knowledge of engineering workflows and lean process execution
- Knowledge of waste water treatment plant systems
- Knowledge of project management processes, including Lean Six Sigma, PMI, or Agile
- Ability to communicate and present information and data to executive level clients
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Additional Qualifications:
- Knowledge of government policies and procedures
- Knowledge of software packages from Autodesk, Unity, and Dynamo
- Knowledge of digital products and capabilities, including digital twin
- Ability to leverage critical thinking and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot industrial challenges and needed process improvements
- Ability to model data, develop simulations, or model engineering systems
- Masters degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- PMP, Six Sigma, or EIT Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,000.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
