Research Fellow position is immediately available at the Hematopoietic Stem Cell Laboratory located at National Cancer Centre Singapore. The Hematopoietic Stem Cell Laboratory laboratory under Prof William Hwang is looking to for RF who can bring the skillset to the hematopoietic stem cell expansion platform.
Education Qualifications:
- PhD with minimum 2 years of relevant experience with specialisation in stem cell culture.
- Good oral and written English.
Relevant Experence:
- Perform induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) and/ or mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) culture.
- Experience with induced pluripotent stem cells is a plus.
- Experience with cell expansion systems (suspension or adherent types).
- Ability to read, analyse and interpret scientific data and publications.
- Ability to author or review protocols, technical reports and technology transfer documents.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
- Able to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
- Experience in Flow Cytometry, Immunoprecipitation techniques, RNA-seq, 10X genomics, Mass Spectrometry and bioinformatics will be valued.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Proficient in molecular biology techniques (e.g. DNA and RNA isolation, qRT-PCR, sequence analysis, plasmid cloning, protein analysis and western blot), data analysis (E.g RNA-seq).
- Experience in generation and expansion of iPSC's, T cells, NK cells, HSCs and/or MSCs.
- Immunostaining, microscopy and image analysis (e.g. FISH).
- Experience in handling tissue samples for derivation of cell lines.
- Ensure continuous professional development by keeping up to date with all technical knowledge and skills in line with current best practices.
The following laboratory skills are desirable:
- Stem cell biology and differentiation.
- Transcriptomics, metabolomics and proteomics with advanced bioinformatics analysis.
- Flow cytometry, FACS and high throughput screening analysis.
