Role and Responsibilities
Summary
The graduate level Co-Op student will provide technical support to machine learning engineers in design, test, documentation, and implementation of models.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Perform machine learning engineering tasks including developing data processing pipelines, developing models, creating software tools, updating drawings and documentation.
- Gather data and prepare reports as necessary.
- Provide administrative and technical support to Engineering department.
- Assist other departments, when needed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Must be enrolled in an accredited doctoral degree college/university program in majoring in Engineering, preferably Data Science, AI/ML, or Computer Science.
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- You will be expected to operate on a AI/ML development team. The skillsets required for this role will vary based on what systems you are working on. To be considered, you should have strong skills in 1 or more of the following categories;
- Machine Learning SDK (Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, Keras, etc.)
- Model development (Python, Julia, R, etc.)
- Database systems (PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, etc.)
- Devops (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, etc)
- Cloud Systems (Azure, GCP, AWS)
- Must be willing to learn new procedures and applications.
- Must be detail oriented with good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
Additional Considerations
- Inclusion of your public Github/GitLab is a benefit.
- Behavioral Science knowledge or experience a plus.
Security Responsibilities
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

- May be required to sit down for long lengths of time.
- May be required to climb stairs.
