1. Develop and implement a visionary plan to guide the Art Centre’s growth and position it as a leader in arts education and research.
2. Foster a dynamic, inclusive, and collaborative environment that supports creativity, innovation, and academic excellence.
3. Ensure the curriculum meets current and future industry needs and aligns with institutional goals.
4. Promote interdisciplinary collaborations and new program initiatives across art forms.
5. Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty and staff to ensure excellence in teaching, research, and service.
6. Enhance the student experience through engagement opportunities, advising, mentorship, and career development programs.
7. Encourage an inclusive, supportive environment that promotes student growth, well-being, and academic success.
8. Promote the centre’s activities and achievements to engage the community and attract prospective students, donors, and collaborators.
9. Manage the centre's budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support strategic priorities.
10. Support faculty and student research in the arts and foster an environment that encourages scholarly and creative work.
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in a relevant arts discipline or related field.
- A minimum of 8years of leadership experience in arts education or a related field.
- Proven track record of academic and program development, community engagement, and resource management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Proven ability to lead and manage educational programs and initiatives.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Able to run multiple branches independently.
- Able to work on weekends.
- Willing and able to travel on short notice.
- Able to work under stress and work independently.
