• Performs the basic technical processes entailed in dispensing prescriptions including review of patient chart to determine appropriate the number of medications, quantities to be dispensed and dosages are within acceptable ranges based on patient age and weight.

Functions as a Warehouse Worker in the Food Service Department at the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) federal correctional facility.

Responsible for supervising inmate workers who receive, store, and issue a wide variety of supplies, material, equipment and commodities required in the operation of the Food Service Department.

Responsible for clerical, Funds Control, Time and Attendance and budgeting duties as assigned by the Food Service Administrator and is expected to apply a working knowledge of policies and procedures as related to this office and the food service aspect of the institution.

Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staffs correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.

Major Duties:
On a recurring basis, operates farm-type tractors and towed or attached equipment to maintain grounds and road medians and/or perform farming functions. The incumbent frequently operates towed or attached equipment from the seat of the tractor through hydraulic or mechanical controls.

Equipment operated may include mowers, aerators, plows, harrows, chippers, sprayers, disks, post hole diggers, front-end loading devices, movable dozer blades, and backhoes. This equipment may be powered by direct drive or a power takeoff. Work may involve taking multiple mechanical and hydraulic connections between the towed or attached equipment and the tractor and make numerous equipment adjustments. Incumbent works on level or rolling terrain in such areas as open fields, parks, orchards, lawns, and along roadways.

As required, uses the fertilizer spreader to apply fertilizers as needed during the year. utilizes the aerator as needed on established turf. Uses auger, when needed to bore holes as required. Pulls plowing disc, to break dirt crust as needed. May level ground to give an even grade within boundaries as required.

• Performs technician work that is supportive of professionals in resource management (i.e. Wildlife Biologists). These positions are primarily concerned with research, conservation, and management of wildlife; the control of wildlife; or determination, establishment, and application of the biological facts, principles, methods, techniques, and procedures necessary for the conservation, management, and control of wildlife.

As a Director of Force Support, GS-0301-13, you will serve as the Force Support Squadron (FSS) Director and to exercise first and second level supervisory and managerial authorities over the FSS, manage the activities of the FSS, Commander Support Staff (CSS) and oversee the planning, direction, and timely execution of high visibility and high impact FSS programs. • Ensure that regulated establishments produce a safe product by executing appropriate inspection methods, determining non-compliance with regulatory requirements, documenting noncompliance and initiating enforcement actions, where warranted.

As a Biological Science Technician your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assists in planning wildlife censuses and surveys such as establishing schedules and procedures to accomplish surveys. Independently carries out wildlife studies by following research methods and established procedures for accomplishing
  and reporting the work. Monitors and implement activities related to conservation, management, and/or control of wildlife. • Assists in planning plants surveys and recommends plant management practices.
  Assists in planning habitat management activities designed to monitor, control, and eradicate non-native or invasive plant species and/or limit plant disease outbreaks. Independently carries out plant studies by following research methods and
  established procedures for accomplishing and reporting the work.
• Collects, assesses, and organizes biological and physical environment data from field investigations and reports findings to determine actual and potential impact on fish, wildlife or plant resources from development projects, restoration projects or habitat improvement projects.

Collects avian morphometric data and biological samples by capturing, measuring, bleeding, and marking birds. Uses field equipment including cameras, GPS equipment, binoculars, rangefinders and computers in order to capture avian survey data or for other records.
• The incumbent participates in multifaceted plant studies, including carrying out a variety of research and survey methods, analyzing established data, and monitoring environmental elements such as temperature, humidity, etc., and how it impacts plant health. Uses field equipment including cameras, GPS equipment, binoculars, rangefinders and computers in order to capture survey data or for other records. Conducts and/or monitors grazing activities, water control structures, and/or management monitoring studies. Identifies native and exotic flora and fauna.
• Survey's location for invasive species populations. Works with the biologists to outline a plan to minimize or remove invasive species. Uses field equipment including cameras, GPS equipment, binoculars, rangefinders and computers in order to capture survey data or for other records. Assists with invasive species removal projects, recording and submitting accomplishment data on the process of technical assistance and habitat restoration activities.
• The incumbent uses a variety of databases and reporting systems to store, compile, and analyze data from monitoring and studies.
• Loads and unloads materials and equipment, cleans grounds, collects and disposes of refuse and performs a variety of light maintenance and housekeeping tasks involving the use of hand and power tools and equipment. Assists with outdoor projects such as trail maintenance.
