About the roleAs our Assistant Construction Project Manager, you will be part of the CTO (Central Technical Organisation) and will join a multi-skilled Construction team to deliver on origination, development, construction and operation of renewables projects.The role will be to assist the Project Manager in the delivery of specified Construction projects from our EDF Renewables portfolio. The role will also support the development team and involve working on the Front End Engineering and Design process. This role will involve assistance in preparation of all work scopes, tendering, negotiation and subsequent project management and successful delivery of all related construction contracts through to successful handover of the facility to the Asset Operations Team.

Implementing EDF Renewables Health and Safety policy and carry out regular checks and balances to ensure that it has been correctly applied in all the aspects of the construction project activities.
- Assisting the Business Development departments to successfully achieve Financial Investment Decision on pipeline projects and acquisitions
- Supporting the client information aspects of the Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) process
- Assisting in the development of the construction budget and develop the delivery programme for the projects
- Assisting the development of construction cost estimates, resource schedules and construction programmes
- Working closely with internal engineering team members to accurately assess project DC capacities, electrical connection options and yield throughout the various stages of project
- Working with the team to Project Manage the construction phase of projects & develop the procurement and delivery strategy for the projects keeping up to date with market intelligence relating to Solar PV
What do you need to be great at this role?
- Appropriate Degree or equivalent industry standard qualification – ideally in Engineering (Civil, mechanical or electrical
- Demonstratable experience of construction management skills, working on construction projects, particularly Solar PV
- Experience of Construction Project Management
- Understanding and experience of delivering good health and safety practice
- Experience of working in a project team effectively to deliver the project goals and objectives
- Genuine interest in renewable energy
