Estate Technician

We are looking for an Estate Technician to join our Estate Services team, based in Taunton. You will work as part of a team, where duties will include but not exclusive of property clearance, garden works, bulk/fly tipping removal, needle sweeping and gutter cleans. The ideal candidate will be someone who is hardworking and has a keen eye for detail. This role will include a company van (not for personal use) and power tools and training will be provided as and when required.
The role of Estate Technician will include:
- Carrying out grounds maintenance duties on a daily basis
- Clearing void property’s which could involve needle sweeps as well as removal of fly tipping, gutter cleaning and garden works
- General cleaning and clearing of void properties and communal areas when required
- Completing daily work records and maintaining stock levels
- Ensuring tools and equipment are kept in a useable condition
- Working with customers to resolve issues and improve services
- Providing accurate information and updates on the progress of allocated work
Skills and experiences:
- Working knowledge and experience of undertaking grounds maintenance, caretaking, general cleaning and basic repairs duties
- Recent experience in interpreting written instructions and maintaining simple written records
- Working knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Some practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
