We are recruiting a Support Worker for our supported living and outreach service in Blackpool which provides person centred support to adults with learning disabilities, some of whom have autism spectrum conditions and complex needs.

We are looking for an experienced carer to help lead a team of staff and provide care and support to individuals at our Blackpool service.

Your role as Senior Support Worker will include:
• Developing the independent living skills and community inclusion of service users
• Identifying and accessing activities with service users to promote valued and meaningful lifestyles
• Providing respectful personal care, emotional and practical support to service users
• Collaborating with service users, families and the multi-disciplinary team to maximise service user outcomes
• Implementing Creative Support principles, policies, procedures and guidelines and ensuring that the service fulfils CQC requirements

• Supporting the service user to have the opportunity for a full and happy life and to be safe and well.

Experience of supporting individuals with learning disabilities is essential for this Senior Support Worker role.
A clean valid driving licence and access to a car is desirable for this role but not essential.

You will be expected to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, including evenings and weekends.

Senior Support Worker Duties:
• To ensure that all of our service users receive high quality, individualised, person-centred support,
• To provide mentorship; support; guidance for the staff team working within the service,
• To develop warm and trusting relationships with clients and to encourage them to express their needs, views and concerns,
• Support the management of service delivery, effectively meeting the needs of the clients.

You will be required to work in a flexible manner which may include working evenings, weekends, waking nights and sleep in’s. Our services in Trafford are well supported by our friendly local office in Sale Town Centre and you will be supported by our highly motivated senior staff.

Previous experience of providing care and support to people with learning disabilities is essential. We expect our Senior Support workers to be working towards or willing to work towards a role specific qualification. This is a new, exciting opportunity to join our housing related support service in North East Lincolnshire.

We are looking for motivated Outreach Support Workers to provide advice and support to vulnerable adults, including expectant mothers over the age of sixteen. You will assist individuals accessing the service to maintain or find suitable accommodation.
