I have a design and manufacturing client who is seeking a talented and motivated Design Engineer to join their team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative engineering solutions, from the initial concept through to production. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, manufacturing, and quality engineers, to ensure designs meet technical specifications, cost requirements, and product functionality.

Key Responsibilities: -
Design and Development: Create detailed 2D and 3D models, technical drawings, and specifications using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Conceptualization: Develop creative design solutions based on product requirements, user needs, and engineering constraints.
Prototyping: Work with prototyping teams to develop and test physical models, ensuring the design meets performance, durability, and safety standards.
Collaboration: Coordinate with manufacturing, supply chain, and quality control teams to optimize designs for cost, manufacturability, and ease of assembly.
Analysis: Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and tolerance studies to ensure design integrity, quality, and compliance with industry standards.
Problem Solving: Troubleshoot design issues, perform root-cause analysis, and propose solutions to meet technical challenges.
Documentation: Maintain design documentation, including revision history, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and testing procedures, ensuring adherence to project timelines.
Project Management: Track progress on design projects, including time and cost estimates, project scheduling, and risk management.

Candidate requirements: -

Supporting qualifications would be ideal.
Proven experience in product design, mechanical design of Architectural Hardware product.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA).
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and engineering standards.
Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) is an advantage.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred knowledge: -
Familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques, 3D printing, and CNC machining.

The role:

• Ensure designs are delivered within programme and within the budget provided;
• Manage resource allocations to ensure team members are fully utilised on the highest priority tasks;

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and other project partners;

About you:

• Pro-active management skills with confidence to manage teams in accordance with a growing and varied workload
• Highways and drainage experience, using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microdrainage.
• Ideally have a good understanding of Flood Risk Assessments and various section agreements including S278, S38, S104 and S106.
• Great resource management skills ensuring projects are resourced with the most effective staff
• Strong technical skills and experience in a range of highway design environments
• Proven project management of highway projects and delivery to programme and budget
• Display sound independent judgment
• Experience with developing, mentoring and supervision of Highway Design staff
• Robust working knowledge of Highways Technical documents within the DMRB

Creative Support is a non-profit organisation which provides high quality person centred social care services. Working to empower people with a range of care needs to live independent and fulfilling lives, we are committed to helping our clients recognise their strengths, abilities and personal resources.

You will be providing personalised care and support to adults with learning disabilities, all who have unique support needs. To provide this care we require warm, motivated and person-centred Support Workers with a keen interest in providing personalised support to meet individual care plans.
You will work in the principle of Creative Support, promoting active and independent lifestyles for the adults you support. You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to provide respectful personal care. We welcome applicants who are experienced as well as those who are looking for a new career in the care sector.

Your duties as a Relief Support Worker will include:

• Providing respectful care, as well as practical and emotional support to the service users at our Wakefield services.
• Maximising social opportunities and community engagement
• Developing and sustaining warm and trusting relationships with service users
• Collaborating with colleagues, families and involved professionals to ensure a coordinated and consistent service
• You can chose to be paid on a weekly or monthly basis

What skills and experience we're looking for

1) Have a thorough and up to date knowledge of their subject(s) and should take account of wider curriculum developments that are relevant to their work;

2) Consistently and effectively plan lessons and sequences of lessons to meet students’ individual learning needs, including students with special educational needs, and gifted or talented students. They should be aware of, and take proper account of the strategies agreed in IEPs (Individual Education Plans) and IBPs (Individual Behaviour Plans);

3) Keep an attendance register of students in every lesson and following up absence when necessary;

4) Consistently and effectively use a range of appropriate strategies for teaching and classroom management;

5) Consistently and effectively use information about prior attainment to set well-grounded expectations for students, and monitor progress to give clear and constructive feedback;

6) Be able to make use of the performance data available in the Academy in order to determine how much progress their students are making;

7) Take responsibility for their own professional development and use the outcomes to improve their teaching and students’ learning;

8) Make an active contribution to implementing the policies and aspirations of the Academy and Trust;

9) Be effective professionals who challenge and support all students to do their best;

10) Set and maintain high expectations for student behaviour;

11) Set a good example to students, for example in terms of appropriate dress, standards of punctuality and attendance;
