Electrical Engineers will work in the supply of remotely deployed equipment for use in active plant, underwater operations, radioactive waste size reduction and processing and decommissioning.

In addition, Electrical Engineers will also be involved in the design, build and operation of inactive test rigs to prove new technology, equipment and processes prior to deployment in active nuclear plant.

Recruitment Agency Notice

We operate a strict Preferred Supplier List (PSL) for the provision of recruitment services. Only agencies on our PSL may provide CVs and only when the role is released to them by our recruitment team. We will not accept unsolicited CVs from suppliers not currently on our PSL. We explicitly reserve the right to add candidate details from unsolicited CVs from non-PSL agencies into our own candidate database and to pursue/hire such candidate(s) without any obligation, financial or otherwise, to the agency concerned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leading the design and development of innovative mechanical systems and components, managing projects, and ensuring that designs meet the highest standards of functionality, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Utilize CAD software to create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings.
• Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analysis. Optimize designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability.
• Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for design integration.
• Plan and execute testing and validate prototypes. Analyze test data and implement design improvements.
• Lead design reviews and ensure design quality.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Support the development of engineering standards and processes.
• Work closely with suppliers and vendors for material and component selection.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities and quality.
