About the Role

You’ll join our team to manage the design aspects of tenders and projects in progress, establishing, maintaining and managing effective project design resource and team profile at bid and delivery stage. Leading and providing a professional, comprehensive and sustainable design service for our customers, key partners and suppliers, you’ll manage and coordinate safely the overall design process through the RIBA design stages, challenging the brief and bringing innovation and continuous improvements.

About You

• Hold an HND/HNC degree om a relevant field
• Be a member of a professional institute, i.e. CIOB
• Experience of working on Educational, Healthcare, Leisure or Defence schemes between £5 and £30 million is an advantage.
• Ideally have experience of bidding and winning work on both single and two stage tenders
• Excellent people management skills
• Experience with the use of BIM360.
• Ability to motivate others, achieving high standards of compliance.

A full UK driving licence is essential.

Your Day to Day

• Oversee project coordination, keeping ongoing projects on schedule and within budget.
• Efficiently manage studio resources, including equipment, software, and materials.
• Support the creative team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Manage and oversee the studio's budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
• Act as a liaison between the internal team and external agencies, facilitating effective communication.
• Ensure the quality of output meets company standards and client expectations.
• Plan and manage the studio's schedule, including project timelines, team availability, and deadlines.
• Assist in recruitment, providing training and orientation for new team members.
• Prepare regular reports on studio operations, including project status, budget usage, and team performance.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies.

Your Skills

• Degree in Business Management, Project Management, Graphic Design, Marketing, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a creative studio or agency environment, with at least 2 years in a management role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing creative projects from inception to completion.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Asana, Trello, or Microsoft Project).
• Strong leadership skills with experience in team management, motivation, and development.
• Excellent understanding of the creative process, including design, copywriting, and digital content production.
• Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, conveying project goals and timelines effectively.
• Experience in budget management and resource allocation.
• Keen eye for detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Knowledge of current trends in design, marketing, and advertising.
