What you'll do

As a Behavioural Risk Audit Manager, you’ll lead, or deliver part of, an audit engagement or behavioural risk innovation project, using your behavioural and data science skills and knowledge, with limited oversight. We’ll look to you to design new robust and feasible approaches to effectively identify and understand behavioural risk, particularly around good customer outcomes.

Your role will also involve:

• Contributing to innovative business insights to identify risks

The skills you'll need

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a relevant qualification in behavioural science with a strong quantitative element such as psychology, economics, finance, data science, or similar. You’ll also need strong experience designing, conducting, and analysing quantitative research methods such as quasi-experimental methods, surveys, lab, or field experiments.

You’ll demonstrate an in-depth understanding of behavioural science theory, particularly around consumer judgement and decision making or household finance. As well as this, we’ll expect an understanding of behavioural risk application in a risk, regulatory, financial services or consultancy context.

You’ll also need:

• The ability to source, prepare, and access data for analysis
• An understanding and experience of developing and testing hypotheses, and drawing inferences from primary research or large data sets
• Proficiency in Python or another coding language and the drive to further develop those skills

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Housing Association in London for a Finance Manager (Financial & Rent Accounting) to join the team on a permanent basis. The organisation has over 7,000 homes across nine south London boroughs. They are a provider of homes for rent (social and affordable), shared ownership, outright sale and supported housing and also have a small portfolio of commercial properties and garages.

Main Responsibilities

Main duties: Undertake all IPC audits and provide initial feedback of audit results. Produce timely full audit reports and feedback. Follow up actions plans generated from the audits. Assists in the investigation of outbreaks of infection. Assist in working together with others including UKHSA when there is an outbreak of communicable diseases. Acknowledge own limitations and seek advice when situations arise that are beyond own knowledge base. Demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures. Take the lead on the data analysis functions of the service. Including developing databases and reviewing, analysing and implementing data collection systems that produce timely and accurate data. Assists in the collection of relevant IPC and other clinical data for use by the IPC Team, including surveillance data. Maintains and updates audit and outbreak records. Undertake observations, audits and surveillance of infection control procedures and measures as part of infection prevention & control accreditation, including IV line, catheter, hand hygiene and cleaning/efficacy audits. Assist in providing an efficient, safe and confidential IPC service. Sensitively challenge inappropriate practice and poor compliance with infection prevention and control policies, within own limitations, supported by the IPCN/s. Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and provider organisations. Develop and implement audit schedules for IPC and validation audits of the hospital sites. Assist in education of others on IPC issues, including Link Nurses, practitioners and clinical housekeepers and the MDT. Due to the nature of the job, needs to be flexible, coping with frequent unpredictable changes within daily workload. Using keyboard and database skills to facilitate documentation and information gathering. Able to use several different software packages including Excel, Microsoft, PowerPoint. Maintains and updates records. Facilitates the exchange of information on infection prevention and control between the NHS and other agencies. Taking phone calls and passing on messages. Assist in the production of training materials when needed. Organising and planning events including hand hygiene week, IPC link programmes, preceptorship, and study days as necessary and collating supporting information materials. Inputting, monitoring and checking data systems used by the IPC team. Developing and maintaining effective electronic and paper filing systems, to ensure that information is kept securely and is accessible to other members of the team. Preparing agenda, meeting papers, taking minutes and distributing notes of meetings and action logs as well as typing up any group discussions as necessary.

- ABOUT US -
The Institute of Inner-City Learning (IICL) is one of the University of Wales Trinity Saint David’s four Institutes with campuses in Birmingham and London.

The IICL has multiple intakes per annum, delivers continuous learning, teaching and recruitment cycles and operates in an intensely competitive inner-city and multicultural HE environment. The Institute currently has approx. 4,000 non residential students on Certificates of Higher Education, Honours degrees, Masters and Doctoral programmes, some of which are also taught at weekends.

- THE ROLE –
The Lecturer in Accounting and Finance will be required to devise a range of teaching and assessment materials, covering several modules and subject areas within the broad areas of Accounting and Finance. They will be required to lead and/or teach modules such as Accounting Fundamentals, Corporate Finance, Financial Management and Corporate Governance at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. The ability and willingness to teach and/or lead FinTech modules at various levels will be an advantage.

The Lecturer in Accounting and Finance will deliver teaching in a variety of different learning environments and use a variety of teaching styles and approaches, including all levels of undergraduate study and, where appropriate, postgraduate study.

The Lecturer in Accounting and Finance will make a positive contribution to the day-to-day activities of the Academic Discipline that may cover areas such as dissertation supervision, student recruitment, marketing activities, research seminars and workshops, staff training and professional development.

Main duties will include:
• Offer teaching and student support at undergraduate and postgraduate level of study, either individually or as a member of a teaching team
• Offer teaching in a variety of learning settings, from seminar and small group tutorials to large lectures, workshops or placements, using appropriate and engaging teaching styles
• Design and develop teaching materials, assessment methods and criteria, for individual modules or modules within a specific subject area
• Supervise the work of students in a timely, professional and supportive manner, providing necessary advice on study skills, research methods, assessment and dissertation work
• Offer appropriate advice, feedback, support, and encouragement to students, in both an academic and personal tutor role, to ensure a high-quality student experience
• Undertake relevant scholarly and research activity, as a means of updating knowledge in an appropriate specialism and underpinning effective learning and teaching, or for seeking publication, knowledge transfer, public dissemination, or for funding and grant opportunities
• Engage in continuing professional development and enhancement

- ABOUT YOU -
You should have:
• A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline such as Accounting and/or Finance (preferably with some FinTech modules)
• Experience in teaching, delivery, assessment and student support at undergraduate and postgraduate level in relevant subject area
• Experience in the design and development of module content
• Evidence of the ability to balance competing pressures of teaching, scholarship, research, administrative demands and deadlines
