We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and adaptable full time Science Technician to work Term Time only plus 15 days. You will be working as part of the Science team based at Patchway Community School, you will be expected to provide specialist support to teaching staff, including in-class support with student activities and to work without direct supervision as agreed with the Curriculum Team Leader for Science. You will have a relevant vocational or academic qualification or practical experience in a Science related activity. ICT skills are essential. We are looking for someone who is organised, flexible and enjoys working in a practical environment.
The post holder may also from time to time be asked to help Technicians from other departments.

Senior Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine (ST4+) –80:20Research

The senior clinical fellow posts include 80% time working in the adult emergency department and 20% paid time to develop in a specialist interest of the successful candidate’s choice. The posts are open as OOPT/E for EM HSTs and as stand-alone posts for non-trainees, and can be 100% EM if required. We are also open to SAS and Specialty Doctors if that suits.

The posts provide an ideal opportunity for the successful candidates to develop their own specialist interests while working in a busy inner city university hospital, with teaching and research responsibilities and are based in the adult side of the department.

Applicants should hold a relevant postgraduate qualification (MRCEM, MRCP, MRCS, FRCA or equivalent), and should be ST4 + or equivalent, having completed a minimum of 3 years in approved SHO posts (Post Foundation Medicine) or equivalent in relevant acute specialities including at least 1 year in Emergency Medicine.

The post will be a combination of service provision including out of hours and paid time to develop a specialist interest. The candidate to combine a job in Emergency Medicine with a 20% time allowance for a specialist interest. Specialist interests may include but are not limited to education (SIM/FOAMed), global health, expedition medicine, leadership and management, advanced airway management, research (with Professor Jonathon Benger), ultrasound, resuscitation, toxicology and paediatrics. The successful candidate will be given supervision and support from senior medical staff to develop competency in the autonomous clinical management of these patients whilst ensuring patient safety. There is close liaison between ED and ICU at BRI. Patients referred to Specialist Units within the hospital are the responsibility of that specialist team, who will see the patient in the Emergency Department and arrange appropriate care. However, medical and nursing staff in the ED are responsible for any emergency care necessary. This shared care is seamless and collaborative.

Managerial

The management responsibility of the post holder will be to the Clinical Director who is responsible to the Chief Executive and Trust Board.

Clinical Audit and Clinical Governance

The post holder must be aware of clinical governance and clinical risk management and take an active part in their implementation, including audit. Clinical audit is established at the BRI. They will participate in at least one supervised audit project during the 12 month post and will be encouraged to attend interdisciplinary clinical governance meetings

On-Call Commitment

Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £11.02 an hour; this increases to £11.75 for stores inside the M25 but excluding London Boroughs and is £11.95 for stores within Inner London – London Boroughs. Additional payments may also apply depending on location and skills.

It’s our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you.

The table shows the periods of time in the week we’d like you to be available to work – the availability windows. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you’ll have 3 weeks’ notice of exactly when your shifts will be. We are happy to support flexibility for our colleagues, therefore if the times you’re available to work match closely but not exactly to the times we are advertising, we’d still love to hear from you. You will be responsible for

• Knowing your customers and serving them with passion and pride; giving great natural service.

• Being knowledgeable about your store’s performance, understanding the part you play and what we need to do together to drive service and sales, reduce waste and shrink and deliver profit.
• Handling products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
• Being myself, living our values, making everyone feel welcome and always following our policies.
• At times, you may be required to accept deliveries into the store
