Accounts Assistant /Purchasing Assistant
Full Time (40 hours) / Part Time (25 – 30 hours)
Monday – Friday (No weekends)
Salary: £22,500 - £28,000
As an Accounts Assistant / Purchasing Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our finance and procurement departments. You will assist with various accounting tasks, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and supporting purchasing activities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for numbers, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities could include:
- Process and reconcile invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable tasks, including processing payments and maintaining vendor records.
- Support the purchasing team by sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotes, and processing purchase orders.
- Assist in inventory management and stock control activities.
- Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Requirements:
- AAT Level qualification preferred.
- Proven experience in an accounts or purchasing role is advantageous.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and team-oriented approach to work.
- Able to work with other people when required.
- Confident in own abilities
