Salary: £40,600 - £61,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

About the role Due to significant growth within SSEN Transmission, we currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Internal Communications Manager to join the business, working as part of the Customer and Stakeholders directorate.
Key duties & responsibilities include:
- Acting as an ambassador for SSEN Transmission you will plan and deliver effective, measurable communications that target improving performance by connecting colleagues with our purpose, strategy, and values. You will be a trusted internal spokesperson for senior leadership and confidently advise on messaging at all levels of the organisation.
- Supporting the Head of Internal Communications in creating high-quality tactical and strategic communication programmes that help deliver SSEN Transmission's objectives, while underpinning SSE Group's internal communications strategy.
- Facilitating an authentic and values-led dialogue across the business that actively enhances employee engagement and brings our people on board with new initiatives, as we work together to deliver a network for net zero.
- Embracing a partnership mindset and collaborating with functions across the business, overseeing key strategic, operational and change communications.
- Establishing metrics and benchmarks to measure the effectiveness of communication and improve the reach, quality and impact of messaging.
What do I need? - Previous experience as an Internal Communications Manager, developing and delivering multi-platform communication strategies to keep colleagues up to date and boost employee engagement.
- With experience in writing, editing, and publishing digital communications, you can transform complex and technical language into digestible and engaging content for colleagues.
- Demonstrable experience in delivering new ways to bring strategy and culture to life.
- An ability to utilise data to drive content decision-making and confidently adapt your style to meet colleagues' needs.
- Knowledge of new and emerging platforms and channels for enhancing our employee communication and engagement approach.
