As part of Gurin Regional Operations Team under the Chief Operating Officer Office, the SVP, Technology Procurement will be responsible for managing the qualification of all key equipment (PV modules, PV inverters, BESS, Wind Turbines OEM, Hydrogen Electrolysers, HV transformers) suppliers for all projects. They will lead and manage the technical evaluation and qualification process alongside key members of the regional technical team with specific technology domain knowledge. They will work closely with the regional technical engineering team together with technical advisors, insurers and lenders. The role requires a strong understanding and experience in qualifying manufacturer’s compliance to international standards and factory acceptance tests for the various technologies. The role is based in Gurin’s Headquarters in Singapore; however, business travel will be required.
Requirements
- Reports to the Managing Director, Operations on all the qualification of the key equipment for all projects under development to reach financial closure and FID.
-Responsible for preparing the internal technology qualification process documents either internally with the engineering team or with technical advisors for specific scopes if required.
-Ensure the employers requirements are suitable for the project requirements and incorporates Gurin’s ESG policy guidelines.
-Work with Gurin’s Managing Director, ESG by sitting on evaluation panels for shortlisted bidders and suppliers in their submitted qualifications and final interviews.
-Participate and support the EPC tendering process with members of the Technical/Engineering team, evaluate, score and rank the bidders according to the tender evaluation requirements.
-Participate and support the EPC and O&M contract negotiations with the final selected bidder together with the Gurin’s own legal, commercial, ESG teams.
-Lead and develop the regional technology strategy (PV/BESS/Wind) and for each market and support in the further developing the evaluation methodology, scoring criteria and metrics.
-Manage the relationships with key equipment suppliers and the supply chain risks.
-Support in the preparation of reports/presentations for the Investment Committee (IC) approval or Gurin Board as required and coordinating the internal report preparation process.
-Lead in the development of internal best practices and SOP’s for QAQC documents.
