As a Fitness Instructor, you are responsible for conducting fitness programs and assessments to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Fitness Instructor will also be required to schedule adequate staff coverage. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Carry out fitness assessments on members as required
• Conduct fitness programmes and inductions
• Understand and advise members and guests on the correct usage of gym equipment
• Ensure adequate coverage of the pool, gym and reception
• Carry out regular pool tests
• Maintain cleanliness of reception, changing rooms, pool side and gym facilities
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations
• Promote the facilities to hotel residents and perspective members

• The role will involve taking a lead in managing and assisting in developing a team of Health & Wellbeing Coaches and ensuring day to day running of the Healthy Living Healthy Minds (HLHM), and structured exercise programmes.
• You will work alongside Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, Cognitive Behavioural Therapists, Counsellors, and Employments Advisors in supporting the delivery of physical and wellbeing interventions for people presenting with Depression, Anxiety and other common mental health difficulties in a high volume talking therapies service, part of the national NHS Talking Therapies programme.
• This role will be hybrid, with the expectation of flexible travel approximately once or twice a week across our Nottingham patch for face to face delivery of exercise classes or visiting our offices.

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

• Hold a minimum level 3 accredited qualification (such as REPs or CIMSPA) on exercise instruction, and have experience in teaching exercise classes
• Leadership experience
• Experience of delivering client work via 1:1 and group delivery
• Experience of delivering exercise classes
• Experience of SMART Goal setting with clients
• Knowledge of common mental health presentations

Desirable:

• Formal management qualification or evidence of training.
• Operational experience of remote team management.
• Experience of recruitment and on boarding of new employees
• Experience in delivering training to staff
