Responsibilities:
1. Fulfil the roles of Workplace Health and Safety Officer
2. Implements Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety (QEHS) programs onsite.
3. Participates in monitoring and controlling safety standards in accordance with local regulations and code of practice
4. Lead and manage the deployment of Corporate programs independently
5. Develop QEHS procedures including establishing safe work procedures to minimize foreseeable risk in the workplace.
6. Analyses data in compliance with current regulations and makes appropriate recommendations to prevent new or recurring accidents
7. Conducts trend analysis, audits, accident investigations and site inspections of operational procedures, facility design, equipment and materials
8. Makes recommendations for changes in the work environment based on interpretations and principles of professional practices
9. Develops QEHS related training material and conducts training based on training matrix.
10. Evaluates new hazardous materials to ensure compliance in QEHS requirements.
11. Reviews new/current QEHS related legislation and evaluates the impacts to organization.
12. Demonstrates teamwork in all interaction with other groups and departments.
Job Requirements
1. Bachelor’s Degree in EHS, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum 5years of working experience
3. Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WHSO)
4. Fire Safety Manager Cert, HAZMAT knowledge/experience is an advantage.
5. Self-motivated worker
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
7. Possess fluent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
8. Good understanding of OHSAS 18001, IOS 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 Management systems and knowledge of Audits process
9. Knowledge in NEA, SPF, SCDF and MOM licensing, is an added advantage.
10. Able to work effectively, diplomatically, and calmly in emergency situations.
11. Possess Class 2 or 3 license and with own vehicle will be advantage.
